And if it's like this here, think about what it's like at places where leadership was promising the House Settlement would level the playing field and now seeing that had no real teeth? Those guys are going to tune out far sooner than the rest of us.

My mind always goes back to Daniel Brooks.

5* star. Kicked off the team. I was a Drill Sergeant in his company. We talked a few times after he graduated. I still remember finding out.

They can grow up. It's just rare.

PLEASE. HELP AN OLD GUY OUT!

Nearly 800 posts in this thread alone, can somebody supply a list of just facts, not rumor, not innuendo, not sacrosanct OPINION, but real info of meetings or practices missed, trip where, CA or CO to meet whom and who paid for it, how many and whose calls did he not accept, interaction with teammates, and any other relevant FACT that will have to be the basis of Coach’s actions going forward. Assumptions be damned.

Sadly, one related fact is that other programs can accurately share the presence of a meltdown over here, sadly reminiscent of the Trailer Trash days. Maybe we can put down the rebellion with a reset with JUST THE (supportable) FACTS.

Nobody can provide actual facts on this. The media is reporting things but as we know, those can’t be considered facts either.

Supportable facts?

Coach Josh Heupel will speak about the status of Boo Carter on 7/29.

That's it.

After the first practice, we'll have Heupel's statement and I suppose we'll have the comments from the Fingers videos of whether Boo was there.

Just wondering out loud, but could it be that our evals were either woefully inadequate or they ignored the red flags due to the talent? Both kind of point to one person....and the buck always stops with him.

Your guess is as good as mine. My guess is the potential was so high it was worth the risk. The kid has all the potential in the world but appears to be a train wreak. If he's lost the locker room Hueps got to cut bait. You can't let cancer spread.

They are selfish and irresponsible. Zero class. Adams is actually much worse than Basilio honestly because he has tried to wreck this program for decades. I hope he is as miserable as he seems to be and then some.

Tony was right on Nico and he is right here. He isn’t peddling message board drivel. He had Adam Sparks on the air to speak directly to the audience. Sounds like somebody peed in your Wheaties. Sheesh.

Haven't thought of him in a long time. What could have been. Glad to hear he got his act together

This has been happening since Brian Darden, Bryce Brown, and James Banks. It won’t be the last time. But UT is not at the level to turn down 5* players. I give the team credit by saying they will be better off without the distraction.

I'm constantly looking at and critiquing Heupel but for what he had when he got here vs where we are, there's been minimal drama.

Salter, that break in that wasn't, that first year, etc can't really be charged to him because the culture wasn't set up yet.

Post Hooker and Milton really getting in the room, there was Jeremy Banks, Nico, and Boo that are annoying issues and Pearce being present but dialed out.

Overall, we've won a lot without having police reports, a thousand speeding tickets, etc. It's not been perfect but not bad at UT since Heupel came.

Plenty of teams were willing to ignore the read flags on Boo Carter.

That's one thing I admire about Vitello. If the family is nutty or the kid has issues, he won't let him on the front porch. Heupel played with fire for Nico and Carter. He's likely going to get burned twice. Might be time to stop playing with fire?
