Iâm assuming youâre a little older, like myself? My hope is boo didn't burn his bridges with the players and coaches. Hopefully, he can "man up" if he did screw up and make it right.
What has always bothered me about Basilio, is that whenever he is wrong (often), there is never any accountability for it. He never acknowledges having been wrong. He simply drops the subject from his discussion and pretends he didn't say it. In the 90's, Mike Keith used to make fun of him for this on the air .... Rightfully so.Is he FOS? Of course he is, but so are the other radio personalities on Knoxville sports radio.
Thatâs fair, but there are also no more Mike Keithâs on the air these days. What has always bothered me about Basilio, is that whenever he is wrong (often), there is never any accountability for it. I hope Boo Carter is on the team this fall, but only if the drama has been resolved. We have seen that our teams don't play through drama well. I would rather him be dismissed right now, than be an ongoing pain in the butt, who is dismissed during the middle of the season. Whatever the problem is, it needs to be resolved this week, if he is going to remain at Tennessee.Boo has a new agent per Swain. A new agent has to attempt for more money. We saw how Heupel handled Nico. I think we can cut to the chase & figure him gone.
One of my biggest Vol FB disappointments was the 2016 team. It got destroyed by a cancer in the locker room. Iâd rather go 7-5 knowing the team gave it all every game than 8-4 with 2 losses that occurred before they took the field.
I have not seen enough validated facts for anyone to make an intelligent decision on this situation. Too many taking the alternate unintelligent path. Hopefully there is truth in the coaches and team handling whatever the issues are internally and Coach can make the call, the right call for UT. I am sure there are some contractual issues to dance around. My hope is boo didn't burn his bridges with the players and coaches. Hopefully, he can "man up" if he did screw up and make it right.
If you have listened to Basilio for a long time, and I don't any more, but used to, in the 90's .... there should be skepticism of his information, especially during coaching searches.Gonna be a lot of people with egg on their face in this thread not believing Basillio sharing this news
FWIW Callahan expected this to be resolved by the time Josh Heupel next speaks to the media.I hope Boo Carter is on the team this fall, but only if the drama has been resolved. Dang son, Mike Keith has been on Tonyâs show twice since taking the new job. Did you miss that? Sounds like you did, LOL. They talked openly and laughed about their rivalry back in the day. What has always bothered me about Basilio, is that whenever he is wrong (often), there is never any accountability for it. yeah I'm there as well. If the problem is as bad as several who cover the Vols have described...then CLEARLY Boo needs to have massive repentance, confession before the team (with tears), and a commitment beyond what the team would expect. Otherwise...introduce him to I-40 east or west. He does appear to be extremely immature at best.... The team simply doesn't need boneheads...JMOI hope Boo Carter is on the team this fall, but only if the drama has been resolved. We have seen that our teams don't play through drama well. He has said multiple times that he was wrong about Barnes and owned it on the air. He said he was wrong about Nico leading up to last season when he was talking almost daily about how he was going to have a huge year. As last season unfolded, he said "I might be wrong, but I won't stay wrong" and he owned it by saying he was wrong about it. I've heard Mike Keith say that he respects Basilio in that he's had a show for 30 years. I've listened to him for years and it's just entertainment to me, but I can definitely understand why some people don't like him. What has always bothered me about Basilio, is that whenever he is wrong (often), there is never any accountability for it.
