Or just make sure whatever baggage the kid has is peanuts compared to his on field talent. Like a Percy Harvin or Cam Newton. Because he’s a defensive player though and obviously isn’t Eric Berry or Ed Reed he’s not worth the trouble nor the money if the staff won’t put the ball in his hands to make plays

Agree on not worth the issues. He’s one of the top NiL recipients on the team I suspect. “For those given the most, most is expected”. But he was a 4 star from Chattanooga & a lot of people in BOC were very interested in him being here.

If the team is so brittle that the loss of a single player in the off season, even the starting QB, wrecks the season then it really wasn’t much of a team to begin with. Injuries, academic problems, and personal issues are why depth is essential. I think we’ll be fine without Nico and IF there’s a problem, we’ll be fine without Boo.
