Yeah, I'm not digging the announcing one artist every 5 min. thing...

Pretty disappointed that Dropkick is going to a cool rock deal, although looking downhill on 30, i guess i understand that they desire money more than appreciation of the working class as they sang about when i saw them growing up.

That said, i'll hate every "footloose and fancy free" suburban rebel even more than i do now:shaking2:

Jay-Z, Dave Matthews, and Stevie Wonder. respectable headliners.

notables i like: Damian Marley and Nas together, John Fogerty, Les Claypool, Disco Biscuits, Kid Cudi, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Wale, Deadmau5, and Bassnecter.

notable wtfs?: GWAR

notable "we want the rich hippy wannabe's money"s: Zac Brown Band, Kings of Leon, and Dropkick Murphys (until they all leave once shipping off to boston is played)

I went the first three years and it was something else. After seeing the lineups the last couple of times, it does seems that they have broken away from what I remember it to be...a jam band festival. I don't think I'll be going back. I'll go to All Good instead.

It's funny that nobody has mentioned any of the bands that make me really want to go to Bonnaroo for the first time.

in no particular order.....
• The Avett Brothers (IMO maybe the best band there)• The National •The Black Keys • Steve Martin & the Steep Canyon Rangers • Jamey Johnson • Kris Kristofferson • The Nitty Gritty Dirt band • Punch Brothers • Dave Rawlings Machine • Carolina Chocolate Drops • Mumford & Sons • Hot Rize •

I think its a pretty good lineup. Personally I could care less about the headliners most years. I would go for the indie bands like Flaming Lips, Deadweather Phoenix. LCD Soundsystem, Avett Brothers, The National, The Black Keys, She & Him, The xx, Dan Deacon, Dr Dog, Punch Brothers, Blitzen Trapper, Japandroids, Edward Sharp, Ingrid Michaelson, The Dodos, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Tokyo Police Club and Neon Indian.

To my tastes, that is the best lineup they have had so far. I've never been just because I don't really like being in the middle of 80,000 people in the Tennessee summer heat.

The Black Keys alone make me want to go but I hate people and crowds so I will catch the DVD
