Calling out someone for not executing in one game when you haven't executed all season long doesn't default you to being a "leader".

IMO, the ONLY two guys who I see as "leaders" of this team are Eric Berry and Arian Foster. Guys who give everything they have on every play they are in, who lead by example and leave NO doubt in my mind that they gave their all. Gerald Jones is creeping up that list for me, with his amazing effort @ KY and in the SECCG.

No leadership = No accountability = inconsistency.

Outside of Foster looking back on long runs on two occasions this year, I agree these two do have the respect of their teammates.

That is why next year will be different.

i feel like comments like these are needed and are a part of leadership, but they should happen inside the locker room, not to media and for the whole world to hear

well im just ready to see our young players develop next year and start being the leaders of this fball team... i really believe that we will see a different team and different results once our talented freshmen start becoming leaders... i was one of those guys who was against Fulmer and was calling for his head but i really dont think Fulmer is the problem, its the players that we have in the "leadership" roles, they arent all that great to begin with and then they are not good motivators or leaders

Probably a good call popcorn, Phil's not leaving and not really the problem either so I guess we can just get used to him....

well once bolden can be consistent and live up to his potential he should keep his mouth shut

exotic vols,

Chris Walker was a "contributor" on special teams in the Kentucky game. Chris has played special teams in every game this season.

He absolutely has NOT been. You are seeing 48, Adam Myers-White, NOT 84 Chris Walker.

Also, Ben Martin DID see action in the KY game. He was inserted into the FG block team in OT when we blocked the FG.

Bolden was WAY out of line here, whether the statement had merit or not. I don't recall his offensive teammates badmouthing the defense after the losses to Cal, Florida, or Alabama. There was no leadership exhibited in his statements....in fact it seems indicative of a program continuing to fracture internally.

she probably knows more than you do, as she is his mom

I stand corrected, which is a very bad thing. I pay extremely close attention, and this means 2 things:

A) He did nothing of note

B) We wasted a year of eligibility for a promising kid for him to do said "nothing of note".

Sorry Chris.

Definitely Spoke his Mind....I cannot ever remember a College player Speaking so Freely and so Candidly to the media...For the a College Player to take such a liberty to me tells me that The Staff does not have control of the Players....Pros do it with Fines and know exactly when they speak their minds that there will be consequences and choose their words wisely.... I think he told the Coaches and Fans that there is something Rotten in Denmark...

I hope Mayo chewed his tail for stepping way out of line. Bolden has not performed consistently enough to run his mouth and is not a captain or a leader of the defense. You never turn your back on your team even if they are on the other side of the ball. Solidarity Brother! And like someone said earlier I am sure Ainge feels about as bad as one man should feel over a game.

Ainge has shouldered a lot of blame this year. Is it all him? No...IMO mostly Cuts fault on play calling....many people say we are to predicable. After the Florida or Bama games did Anige call balme any defense palyers. No..Bolden was disresepctful, not only to who he implied but his team as a whole. CPF should bench him for the first half of the bowl game.

Everybody, especially the PLAYERS,needs to take a "chill pill," and close thy mouth. Remember 2005? I really hope the players, and to a lesser extent, the VOL fans come together in the next couple of weeks, focus on Wisconsin, and quit the finger pointing. GO VOLS
