"You all watched the game," Bolden said. "You all saw what happened. The things that happened out there. The defense had to bow it's back a couple of times get a couple of stops and get the job done. There are some people who just didn't execute plain and simple."

"I ain't saying no names. I love my teammates. But that is how I feel right now. I am not going to say any names. But you all watched the game and that is how I feel."

For what it's worth he's speaking his mind.

Welp. He may regret saying that, but it isn't untrue. At some point, players need to be held accountable for playing like crap. Too bad he can't call out his coaches.

If I had played like Bolden all year, I probably would have stopped at the first sentence.

Probably said a little too much, but it's only natural to feel that way.

I would be frustrated with my offense too if I had played in that game. I thought the defense did a great job when it was all said and done, you couldn't have asked for a better position to be in than holding LSU to 6 points in the first half, and 7 points in the second. Bolden is 100% correct.

how many times this season was the offense the ONLY thing holding us even remotely in a game? OBTW, what is the most glaring weakness on this football team?

What does my statement have to do with the rest of the season? What does this game have to do with the rest of the season? My comments are only relevant to the play in the championship game. Bolden was a little hasty to throw the offense under the bus, but it was painfully obvious who dropped the ball with the SEC Championship and BCS bowl birth on the line.

Was really talking to Bolden more than you. I think his comments were pretty classless, given that Ainge has been one of the few bright spots on this team (even though I'm on record as saying I think he's been terrible this season) while the D line has been a total liability all season.

The defensive line is bad, but I'd say the secondary is worse.

debating the worse of those two units is likely to result in the death spiral to hell. They're both shaky and I'll leave it at that.

The D-Line is slower this year than I can ever remember I think....Just always a few seconds late every play....Need some speed on DE bad!

What ever happened to Ben Martin? Did he even get to play in the UK game when Xavier Mitchell, Robert Ayers, and Antonio Reynolds were all sucking wind?

Good for Bolden. We're going to need leaders, and leadership and accountability walk hand in hand.

The defense has been awful, but at least it's improved over the course of the year. The offense isn't any better than it was when I was sitting there getting splinters in my arse in Berekely in September.

we need leadership in the locker room, not in the media.

He's been playing but minimal at best...Seen him on special teams and a few times at DE....Needs to be playing more imo....Where was Kemp at today? Was he hurt? The guy was a best against KY had a couple sacks and a pic and I dont even remember seeing him..

Well, the story of this team is Jekyll and Hide. Sometimes the offense is awesome, sometimes it's horrible. A couple games this year the defense played great (I think we can include tonight), and in many others they played very poorly. All I want in life, is a little consistency.

Bolden went in over his head. Those statements should have been kept private.

I would call Tennessee's 3rd down 4 yard passes when they need 7 yards, a very consistent part of the offensive game plan this year.

Of course. But if you stick a microphone in somebody's face after a loss like that, you're going to get a quote. Our offense was awful tonight, and I have no problem with someone from the defense calling them out. They've improved this year; the offense has not.

but the implication was much more individual than 'the offense'.

Ainge could have railed the defense (including Bolden individually) all season, but didn't.

Phil had to put a gag order on Bill Duff for his candor, if I remember correctly.

I've noticed things on TV this year that sometimes make me think that Ainge isn't well liked. He doesn't seem to be a leader, and he also gets ignored at times by his teammates.

Maybe I'm reading too much into what I've seen.

If our senior QB has a problem being called out for his two horrific game-losing interceptions, then perhaps he shouldn't have thrown them.

Our dink-and-dunk offense generated some pretty good statistics this year, but it's not like they carried us in a lot of games. (Example: KY just ran over our defense in the second half, but a lot of that is because our offense couldn't get off the field.) Our defense is a lot better than it was in September and October, but our offense hasn't done anything to get any better.
