Bold Predictions for 2011 Season

Vfl or not kid was raised by a superbowl champion father, and has absolutely no business under center! My son could make better decisions with the ball,( he's 14 and plays WR), !! He is arrogant, and pig headed, and thinks he can make any throw he wants, which gets him in the crapper 9x outta 10! Woorley will start before Simms,( kid looked amazing at practice when I saw him, so no need to worry if Bray has an issue). I'm not big on predictions, but I will go on record as saying Simms WILL NOT start ANY game this year! You have other QB's that have more common sense and can read defenses better, plus make better throws!

Saw this topic on another board and I thought it would be interesting to post it here and see who's right and wrong at the end of the year.

UT Related:
1.) We upset Florida in the Swamp.
2.)Rajion Neal is our leading rusher at the end of the season.3.) We will muff 5 or less punts.
4.) Byron Moore leads the team in interceptions and is 1st Team All-SEC.
5.) Matt Simms starts at least one game.6.) Da'Rick Rogers returns a kickoff for a touchdown.
7.) Our DL gets more sacks this year than last.
8.) Dooley's recruiting will continue to be questioned by most on this board, and he lands a Top 8 class on NSD.

Other SEC Schools:
1.) Marcus Lattimore has a "Sophomore Slump".
2.) Georgia beats Boise St. in the opener.
3.) Mettenberger leads LSU to 10+ wins.
4.) Georgia wins the East, saving Mark Richt's job.
5.) Auburn doesn't fall as far as most think.
6.) Mississippi State beats Alabama in Starkville.

I don't see these happening

1. Z rogers holds his own in the rotation and makes some big plays this year.
2. T poole has less over all yardage but a higher ypc.
3. We have two first-team all sec defensive players.
4. Ut wins the east and dooley wins coy.
5. Bray throws for more yardage than manning in his junior year.
6. One of our head coordinators is gone after the year.
7. bray finds a helmet that fits.

14-0

Ok fine

1) 9-10 win season
2) UF is a victim ( will be there so this better happen)
3) I'll get mad less than 5 times next season about no one in SC pumping my gas when I have a big orange T on my truck. I mean wtf is the deal?
4) my remote will fully break after it's hanging by a thread after the MCB.

#4 is hilarious, and relatable.

No hatred whatsoever! Just pure and simple truth my friend! I am VFL, bleed orange and white through and through! Do u honestly think the beginning of last year I didn't think the guy was the next Peyton? Seriously he had all the up bringing and credentials, but just couldn't get the job done. Pure and simple facts my friend

Really?.... Really?..... i mean for real? Am i the only one Who actually thinks Jefferson is a guy who knows he has messed up in the past and has this one last shot not to be dethroned by a freshman??

No you aren't the only one that thinks he knows that...but you are the only one that thinks he will actually do anything about it. As a QB, Mett has more talent in his pinky finger than Jefferson has period. If Zach isn't starting by game 3, then Les really is as dumb as the message boards make him out to be. JJ is absolute crap, one of the worst QBs in the SEC.

Dang, am I the only one who's gonna make some predictions?

I will pitch in with some SEC wide ones.

SEC
  1. AU will not break .500 a year after winning the BCSI.
  2. UGA will win the East.
  3. Hype and expectations will be too much for the Cocks, as USC goes 5-1 through the first 6 games, but suffers their customary collapse in the second half, losing 4 of the final 6.
  4. UGA smashes Boise in the opener, showing once again that it is going to take the SEC to put those smurfs back in their place. :)
  5. Bama wins the West.
  6. OUT ON A LIMB: Vengence in Atlanta. UGA gets out the black jersey's for the SECCG, not for our funeral, but in order to be pallbearer's for the Tide this time. Payback is a *****.

UT only...I will stick with ones that are positive for you guys, lol. Still won't likely be as optimistic as many of you though. :p

UT
  1. UT finishes the season ranked in the top 4 offenses in the SEC.
  2. Justin Hunter is a Biletnikoff finalist
  3. Vols finish no worse than 3rd in the East.

Maybe not the boldest of all time, but I wanted to keep them somewhat realistic.

I just hope they still are starting JJ when we play them.. then they can wake up and change QB's after we lay the smack down on them.

I think you guys have the talent on your team to do this, I just do not think your coach does :(

you guys should have had the east last year and now you lost your best player...

gl though, if you guys are not playing UT, I am rooting for ya

I got the DAWGS winning the sec this year and the SEC'S streak of 5 bcs titles in a row ending this year. Also the vols finish 8-5 this year winning a bowl game for the first time since the 2007 season.GO VOLS!

No to Rajon Neal being the leading rusher and no to Georgia winning the east (they have an easy schedule, but are weak on playmakers and oline... plus, richt is losing it).

I actually like UGA a lot, but don't see them winning.

Otherwise, I like all of the projections!

Georgia could be loaded this year,Ricth is bringing in some very talented FROSH too and that qb Murray is going to be a good one i think.

I could make a lot of predictions about the rest of the country, but I don't really care about the rest of the country:

1) Marlin Lane gets 800 yards rushing as a Freshman.
2) Bray will have a 2 to 1 touchdown to interception ratio.
3) Brewer is the most improved player on defense.
4) D. Rogers will be more productive than Hunter.
5) We finish the season ranked in the top 25, setting up a strong close to a top 10 recruiting class.
