Bohannon is certainly ambitious

Bohannon has said he wants to be an "immediate impact guy like Berry".

I'll be impressed if he sees a lot of playing time (over current backups Martin and Walker), much less to make an impact like Berry did. But, can't blame the guy for shooting for the stars, even if he only hits the moon in the end.

Thoughts VN?

unless he's heading stright for the sun...

I wouldn't want him saying anything else. Effort can go a long way in the college game.

Or is sucked into a black hole...

If he is heading into a black hole in his lifetime then he must have conquered the universal speed limit of 186,000 miles per second. Witch means that an event horizon would have no affect on him. :whistling: Just saying...

Cockiness is bad. Confidence is good.
I don't agree with that. Some cockiness can be good. There is definitely a line that once you crosss it can be very bad but I wouldn't say that being cocky is always bad. It seems as though that Bohannon is toeing that proverbial line though.

"I still don’t think it struck me how big a prospect I am."

"It’s about getting known in college."

He also NEVER mentioned THE TEAM. Not once - it was all about he wants to make an immediate impact to get known.

I can't think of the last time this team played with the swagger of a USC, Florida, or Ohio State. We need a little cockiness from time to time and I think this team needs a little at this point to get them more confident.

If he backs it up, all his talk is more or less fine. But, if he never sees the field, or sucks a big one when he plays he will need to cut out the chatter. I highly doubt the defensive leaders will let his head grow too large.

Yeah being cocky is not a bad thing. Kelly Washington comes to mind. No he wasn't the greatest person but you can't deny his play on the field.

I felt the same way when I read this. It was all about him getting recognized and he really didn't mention anything about the school he was going to, or why he chose Tennessee. I thought he seemed very self absorbed. However, if he can back it up then I am cool with it.

I just hope Dan Williams, Bolden, Ayers, etc.. have the same competitive attitude. If you excel as an individual on the d-line, the team will benefit.
