Did the Bobcats gain a moral victory over the Vols? These Bobcat fans think so:

While Tennessee was on the whole the better team, by playing smart, and taking advantage of their breaks, Ohio was able to stay close. They refused to fold, and they kept putting themselves in a position to win.

I'm very happy with tonight's game. We lost, but not by 30 points, so that's a good thing

Nice showing tonight. If that Keller fumble return for a TD stands, it could have been a really fun 4th quarter

We held our own vs an SEC team

There is old saying, "In the deed the glory" which is definately about how you play vs winning or losing. There was indeed glory in how the Ohio team laid it on the line tonight

That was a nice, hard fought win for the Vols. Congrats to the Bobcats for a scrappy moral victory.

Yes, I would say so. How's Tebow's head? That sure looked painful. Looks like you just can't get the Vols out of your head. Shouldn't you be Trolling on a Kentucky Board or has Kiffin really gotten to you that much?

I was being complimentary of both teams. Lighten up man.

Ohio played a helluva game. Notice some coaches don't try to diminish their opponents by making up excuses after the game.

Moral victories are BS. Last week was a loss for us. This week was a loss for them.

this

the idea of a moral victory should be nowhere near the subconscious of any coach, player, fan or person associated with tennessee. leave the moral victories to vandy and kentucky. in knoxville, a loss is still a loss no matter how you slice it.

Here's a moral dilemma...

Was the Tebow injury a moral victory for the Wildcats?

I agree, but you have give it to the little guys from the MAC credit to be able to go toe to toe with Tennessee at Neyland.

For the record, Neyland with 70k (at the very fullest tonight) is nothing. It's a glorified Vandy Stadium...

Hell, I'll say it. Neyland is a glorified Vandy Stadium.
No true organized cheers.
No prolonged excitement.
No prolonged noise.

The size/noise ratio is among the worst in the NCAA. Maybe when we become a title contender again...

This is exactly how I feel. If you have 100k people in 1 place, you should get a whole crapload more sound than we produce.
All the oldtimers kill our sound.

Im sure it will be plenty loud when Auburn comes in next Saturday. The fans will have to be jacked up for that one.
