UT would be dang fortunate to have him. Not to mention he would come in a second. He needs TN and TN needs him.

We need a proven winner and Petrino needs a great school.

No UT doesn't need him. There was a writer on earlier here in Bham and said the people who have worked with him all the way down the latter have hated the guy. He was the hardest and worst coach to work for. 10 times worse than Saban and wasnt trustworthy at all. And this was info from people who have worked for him. Plus he doesnt play defense. Thats why he struggles against teams like Ala and LSU. Would take him as an OC all day but nothing more. And do you think he will be able to recruit at a high level again. Mothers especially arent going to want their kids to go play for him. So NO!

Class A type personalities are known to have huge ego's and are also known to be very hard to work for.
10X harder than Saban is fine by me. I think thats why he is alteast as good of a coach as Saban. He lives, breathes, eats and craps football. Not a family man, has no life. Just football. Its what it takes to win in Americas best league especially when you arent in a talent rich state.

Mine as well.

Petrino isn't going to be that expensive with his baggage and he is one of the few elite coaches in the land.

Whether you like it or agree..

Tennessee would be fortunate to have Petrino at "your" UT.

He is the only ELITE coach that will come here.

This isnt a top 10 job like it used to be.

Elite? Really? This thread is more delusional than the Gruden thread.

Petrino may still be a good coach, but you have to recruit in college and it will be tough to get moms to let their kids go play for Bobby Petrino.

Plus, what if his incident did have an effect on his coaching? Look at Tiger Woods, he has gotten back and can win tournaments again, but he still can't win when it counts (The Majors). So if we hire a coach who can beat everyone except Bama, Florida, and Georgia, what have we really gained?
