I see the rumors of Bobby Petrino all over this board, but I honestly don't see any way or reason why we would hire him. The guy's history and the bridges he's burned wouldn't this be like Lane Kiffin all over again?

UT would be dang fortunate to have him. Not to mention he would come in a second. He needs TN and TN needs him.

We need a proven winner and Petrino needs a great school.

If we give him a sex pad like Kiffen and a way out of motor accidents like Kiffen, how does he not have interest? I'd be so pissed if we hired a slime ball like him. He screws over every team he coaches for.

Rumors? Where? I haven't heard any rumors involving Petrino and UT.

If they're on VN, though, I'm pretty focused on the Gruden thread.

Here's an interesting twist:

What if Kentucky scores Petrino..don't laugh....it's entirely possible.

SIAP, but I just wanted to get the Volnation pulse on Petrino. I know there are character issues, but the guy can coach. Surely we'd have a coed or two he would be interested in. LOL.

Seriously, though, if Gruden doesn't happen, is he even on our radar?

I would be very disappointed if we hired him. I think a lot of people would be. I think that's one of the reasons he won't be hired here. The AD needs a coach that will excite the fanbase in order to justify ditching Dooley. Petrino isn't that guy.

Hey, I have an idea. What about Bobby Petrino? No one's mentioned him in any threads or rumors as possibly being our next coach?

I know he's got serious moral issues, but who cares, right? Just win, baby, win! (Serious sarcasm intended, as a courtesy for the sarcastically impaired.)

 These threads just--gotta--stop. :bad:

One name ive not seen any is the ex coach of Ohio State.....Jim Tressel. I know he comes with a 5 game ban, but if you hired him before the USCe game, he'd be good to go by next season. That being said.........if we change coaches (which im still not sure we should, but beginning to wonder), send the Brinks Truck to Grudens house to help with the move!

Dont forget, it is still possible to get a fire lit and end up 8-4! (praying)

He can make an offense go that's for sure. He's got baggage with a history of leaving smoldering ruins. If Hart were to entertain him as a serious candidate that would be one heck of a contract with clauses about everything. Whoever get's him can probably get a bargain since he's damaged goods right now.

Mike Slive doesn't want BP back in the SEC and has relayed those feelings to UT, Aub and Ky. My question is how does he know there are going to be openings?

Which hire is the worst idea? Kiffin or Petrino?
