I doubt it makes that much of a difference given he's already been the play caller, and offense hasn't really been the problem. Their defense is atrocious and not magically going to improve with their OC taking over.

We need to get Hobbs back for this one. Looks like the secondary is improving as well. Defense just needs to make some plays and we'll be alright.

Arky will come to play against us now they can reset their season a little bit with Petrino in charge. They will put up points on our defense so this will be another close game and shootout. Both teams have a bye week before the game

I believe they returned 8 starters so I have no idea why they tanked so bad. I've watched some of their games this season and they're bad. I mean really bad. They look like a Sunseri coached defense

Arkansas has traditionally always played us tough and pulled off some big upsets in the series that have ruined our seasons. 1992,1999 and 2024 come to mind. Don’t take these guys lightly just because they are 2-3.

it does . I didn’t say the change would propel them to a W but it is a fairly common occurrence for teams left for dead with an interim coach to find an extra gear . The fact that the interim is generally considered a more than competent offensive mind might also have an effect on Arkies performance .

Not in this era because the roster actually gets smaller because guys get a hall pass to start looking for new teams via the portal and opt out so they won’t risk injury.

The idea that Arkansas is gonna be a tougher team rolling into Neyland with a smaller playing roster is laughable.

I was hoping they would wait until after our game. Sometimes these mis-season coaching changes provide a temporary lift for a team that is underperforming. The ND game looked like the pigs had just quit. This may change that dynamic. Still think we win.

All I can think of is when we played Petrino when he was HC at Western Kentucky and we got like 6 turnover touchdowns within 7 plays
