I totally disagree. Maze has more talent and more expeirience. He also is better suited for this offense.

I think we've gone from having no reliable point guard to having two of them. If so, that's never a bad thing.

I just do not see how either can be projected as a starter when full practices haven't even started yet. From what I have read on Rivals, Scout, and ESPN.com we're in good shape either way, it's just silly to argue about this now.

It's public knowledge that West is the starter if the season started today. Get with the news, chief. :good!:

Uhhh - No. Someone just came on here and said they heard from a friends uncle's fiance's brother that they heard Bruce saying West was ahead of Maze at this point.

Seeing that practice hasn't even started yet, there's no way you can so matter-of -factly name the PG starter because of some supposed information you have.

So because Maze shot the ball every time down the court in summer league and put up huge stats he is the starter?

West "might" get to start his senior year. That's only if Selby is good enough to be a one and done player. Otherwise he will always come off the bench.

Definitely not public knowledge. Someone claimed that was the case but I've never confirmed anything like that. My guess is that even if that was said by someone on our staff (which I doubt) it was likely a motivational tool for Maze.

not to be a negavol, but what Bobby Maze really done? Averaging 3 points a game at Oklahoma wasn't all that impressive. Schooling junior college kids doesn't really impress me. And it's not hard to get 30 points a game in the Rocky Top league. I'll have to see him in the orange against some good teams because I get on the band wagon. I don't proclaim to be a rapping guru, but his rapping isn't all that great

Scoring 30 points in the RTL isn't that hard but it was clear to everyone that he played much better than West.

i don't know freak. I just have a bad feeling about Maze. part of me thinks he's the missing piece, but then the other half of me thinks he's going to be a bust and he's ego will hurt the team

I don't know about being the missing piece but I liked his game based on what I saw this summer. I thought he played hard on defense and I was impressed by both his shooting both inside and outside. I'm not convinced that he's the best ball handler but I believe he will be a solid point guard.
