3 yr/ 1.15 Mil per year. John Jancek was paid 500k per year. I sure hope he is good bc I just do not see the value in this hire.

I want to know where all those "bama dave is here to destroy our program," "bama dave needs fired," "bama dave hates 'us," "bama dave is only here to collect a check," etc, etc. are at? They should at least have enough balls and backbone to admit Hart is fully supporting Butch and the football program. Hart said he was going to give Butch all the tools he needed and by hell he is.

Bob Shoop paying his own buyout at $800,000 is very interesting. He must like what Tennessee is selling.

Just guessing, but I bet Shoop is not paying his buyout.. Most likely booster(s) are paying it..

His name has been mentioned plenty of times on this site. Not a good quality for a coach who's lifeblood is recruiting. As long as it's an upgrade, it's good for Tennessee. Coaches are hired to be fired. Just part of the business. Just look at Fulmer and Mark.

If Thig and Martinez do in fact get shown the door I anticipate that we will lose a couple of current commits based on the relationships they have built with them during the recruiting process. Most would probably stay with UT regardless of assistant coaching changes (those are the ones I prefer anyway), but what does this do for our chances with some of the big time defensive guys we are keeping our fingers crossed for (i.e. Warrior).

Word is that we are keeping everyone on defense and giving some guys raises. I think we will see Shoop and Martinez work closely together next season in the secondary. I think I heard Shoop called from the box so that would allow for Martinez to call plays and such. A

It's like this.. Your car has roll down windows and you trade it for power windows. You work hard for your money so you always are trying to better yourself .

Great hire! I guess when Jones said he was going to put together the "best staff in America" he didn't mean all in one season.
