While watching the Phil Fulmer Show this morning, Kessling was talking about Eric Berry breaking Bobby Majors interception/yardage record, well, Coach Fulmer stated how he played ball with Bobby Majors and how great he was.Then Kessling started rattling on again and he said "Coach Maj.... Fulmer", (after he caught himself) and finished his sentenced.I don't think Phil grimaced, but it was classic BK.:)

That doesnt surprise me.....Thats typical Kesling....he needs to go back to Channel 10 (WBIR) and do the sports on the 6pm news

I had a good laugh about that myself, dont think CPF seemed to mind, hes probably used to that kind of stuff from Kessling (moron)

guys im sorry... i have really tried to like kessling but he is a half step away from horrible. i really think we couldve done a lot better replacing mr ward

It is hard to take the place of John Ward, but sometimes I question this hire.

I have watched the PF show twice and have not heard what you are talking about. There is even a second gentleman talking about the Berry record and i didn't here him allude to coach Fulmer as Coach Majors either.

I think Bob is an embarrasment more than most, but he called a good game Saturday and was really pumped up about the Vols. He is solid in all other facets (PF show, BB, call in shows...) imo. If he would just be 60% for the Vols I would be happier, this 50/50 excitement for both teams is just rude.

Bob probably said "Coach Maj..." because they were just discussing Bobby Majors. I know we've all made conversational mistakes like that.

Quick question. Is an NFL radio job the pinnacle of that profession? Any way the UT powers that be ever get Keith? I don't know much about the radio broadcast profession but it would be nice to have Mike as our voice of the Vols. You can hear John Ward's influence on him every Sunday.

Bob is nice but there is just something missing with him and the football broadcast. However, I think he is better with basketball. Or, Burt keeps him energized with his comments.

Its gonna be tough on BK during basketball season trying to keep up with what Smith did what.

There is like 4 guys named Smith on the team isnt there?

Bob and Mike were both in the running to replace John Ward. UT decided to go with Bob before Mike hooked up with the Titans.

I've often thought that if Bobby Major had not been killed he would have been ended up as our HC.

Agreed. I'm glad no one critiques my presentations as hard as everyone does for BK.

While I think Kessling's broadcasts are OK, I am 99.9% sure nobody and I mean NOBODY who took the mic after John Ward was going to be suitable. Nobody called a game like John, nobody ever will. The guy that follows a legend is doomed from the start. We needed a guy like Kessling right after John because he is destined to fail. Now, whoever replaces Kessling will most likely get a fair chance to be good. Not that Kessling didn't get a fair shot, he was put in a no-win situation. Maybe that's why Mike Keith went to the Titans.

You know how they say "you don't want to be the man that followed THE MAN...but the man after that"?

Maybe Mike was waiting on BK to follow THE MAN so he could pick up the pieces???...just my thoughts
