I'll admit there will never be announcer as good as John Ward. My favorite TV announcer of all time is Keith Jackson. I still remember when he was Calling the TN vs UCLA game, and Peyton had to come in the game when Jerry Colquitt went down with a knee injury. And Keith said here comes the talented TN freshman QB Peyton Manning "Get use to it" No one could call a game like Keith Jackson.

I really like listening to him call the basketball games, he does a much better job.

Football, not so much.

Bob is an ok radio guy. His biggest problem is trying to make every call in real time instead of letting a play happen and then describing what took place.

John Ward was a master of that, even known for calling a play well after it ended. I think Bob gets anxious due to the fast-paced offenses. John Ward might too, but he realized it was radio and painting a picture was more important than staying current.

Kesling is horrible. Wait for infinity to hear a score update or a down and distance. And for those that like Mike Keith, nothing but a whiny nose boot licker- thankful he has a job. He pulled a screw job in the early 90's that cost a friend of mine an announcing gig. Payback will get him soon.

Bob needs to go. Plain and simple. His job is to relay the game for those who can't see it. He never says the time. He never has the yardage correct. We never know where Tennessee is on the field or how far they actually need for a 1st. He doesn't t know penalties. He doesn't even know the player's names for the team he is supposed to be calling for. Pathetic.

Don't know if he was joking or for real, but heard josh ward saying on the radio one day that the smartest thing he did when he got on the radio in Knoxville was changing his name to ward. Sounds like a joke but he and will spent a whole segment on it so idk. But yes I can't stand big bob. Also hate when Tim priest comes in yelling like he doesn't have a mic on.

Missed the very beginning on tv but heard on radio. They really under played Chubbs injury. Said he may have tweaked it but not that it was bent the wrong way.
