I know both teams Saturday were up tempo, but that's not an excuse for sucking the whole game. I couldn't be at a TV or computer for the game and had to listen it being broadcasted over the radio. It was hard to know how long the passes and runs were and where we were on the field before and after the plays. It was really frustrating to listen to, and i would consider any other alternatives from here on. :banghead2:

This is my problem with Kesling:

Kesling: "It's 3rd and 7, Dobbs with fake, Dobbs keeps it and he gets out to the 35!!!!"

Listener: "Is the 35 a first down??"

I refuse to listen to Kesling. I need down, distance, yard to gain, formation, motion, and who does what. Bob does not paint a picture of what is happening, so why listen to him?

I always tune to 94.5 FM and catch John Ward.

I could have sworn listening to the pregame he said Butch was in his 4th year.

Kesling needs to be promoted to some job upstairs....he is an embarrassment quite frankly. I realize that coming after a legend like Ward is tough,,,but he truly is bad.

All of these criticisms are valid but unfortunately Voice of the Vols seems like a lifetime appointment and Bob (17 years and counting) will not abdicate any time soon... Would love to have Mike Keith.

The absolute worst were the SEC Network TV announcers. They were so dull, so slow that I thought they were drinking embalming fluid. I hope these guys are not on anymore of our games. The primary announcer was ok, the color analyst never got excited, barely woke up or could not overcome the fluid he was consuming.

I would rank the kesling hire as the 2nd worse hire within UT athletics......pitiful hire and hubbs certainly doesn't help ( and yes, we all know who the number#1 worse hire was).

We lost our cable and internet connection (THANK YOU CHARTER!) after the delay. I did not get to see any of the rest of the game.
If it had not been for "the radio" I would not have known what was going on!
In that vein, I was glad that he was there!

Far too many ex football players and others getting into "broadcasting", seemingly without a background linked to calling a game.

Seems like there should be more John Wards out there... a voice with a passion for the job.

When I get 'my fill' of Kesling, I listen to the other announcers from around the league. Then it's apparent - Kesling is not as bad as I thought...

Mike Keith does a pretty good job of painting the picture ,but between his constant whining and talking through his nose he drive me crazy! So what I'm trying to say is,Keith is a big no!

Andre Ware is horrible. All he knows how to do is state the obvious.

Agreed! Very annoying voice. I like Bobs normal voice, at least he sounds professional.

I love the Vol Network pregame and postgame, as well as Vol Calls and the Big Orange Hotline, but the play-by-play can be frustrating.

Kesling is a TV guy, and he struggles to paint a picture for non-viewers. Priest's commentary helps, but it generally comes after the play, and if it's a close game, you find yourself continuously asking, "what happened?...what happened?!?!"
