Bob Kesling...the only thing more frustrating than watching a UT game

is listening to Bob do play-by-play of a UT game.

"1st and 10, Ole Miss...hand-off, up the middle...that'll be a gain of a couple...gain of 2. Okay, it's 2nd and 5..."

"Pass over the middle is complete...and dropped..." (That's it, no mention of if it was a fumble or an incomplete pass, turns out it was an incomplete pass. What does he say next? He repeated the phrase, "Pass complete and dropped," after he knew it was incomplete. I didn't know the pass was incomplete, because his dumbass voice is all I hear. I didn't know it was incomplete until he said Ole Miss punted. How exactly can a pass be complete and dropped AND ruled incomplete?)

"Worley rolls out to his right...being chased...Worley throws the ball away, it sails out of bounds...that'll be a loss of 7 on the play." WTF?

I've grown to like ole Bob. Yes, he does a bad job sometimes, but that's what makes him so great. Plus, I've heard he's a really nice guy.

I never said he wasn't a nice guy. He is. And he does a great job interviewing the players, coaches, and handling callers, but his play-by-play is GOD AWFUL. They just need a new play-by-play guy. Bob can do everything else he does, just not play-by-play.

Met him once. A really nice guy. On the radio however, I could tolerate the mistakes if he had more enthusiasm. I was spoiled with John Ward though, so maybe my bar is a little too high.

I am glad that I am not the only one that thinks Big Bob sucks as play-by-play guy. He is theabsolute worst one I have ever listened to. He gets everything wrong- "check that" 85 % wrong.

I listen to a lot of different other play by play of other schools on Sirius,and ours is one of the worst. I miss the days when the play by play guy would give the down and distance, score, every few minutes.the good ones make you feel like your there. Bob just don't do a good job of describing the game and the atmosphere of the game and situation. I know he's been there for 30+ years doing vol network but still.

Old bob does suck. Had to listen to some of the game today. He had no idea what down it was, what yardline we were on, how many yards gained on the previous play. Terrible.
