Bo Wallace Was "All Vol"

Disagree.

Worley has missed some wide open medium and especially deep passes.

Worley is a tough dude and he's a competitor but he's made some bad choices (double covered Pig INT against UF, throwing to triple covered North against OU when he had an open receiver on a slant, etc) and has made some bad throws. He seems to ignore the middle of the field.

Simply put, a QB that can make 3 reads and a good pass would be doing better. Certainly, Petty would not be doing as well at UT as he is at Baylor but he would be doing better than Worley is here.

Plus, Petty is also a tough @ss dude and runs the ball against teams that aren't cuppycakes like UT-Chatt.

sums that debate up pretty well for me. bo wallace also runs against good teams so this worley>wallace crap needs to die...fast

As I said before. He wasn't considered in 2009 due to grades. Thanks kiffin he should have offered. Went to juco grades improved, was ready for div 1. Wasn't offered. thanks dooley. Now we are going to reap the rewards. I said since 2009 this kid someday will bite us in the tail. My friends..it will happen tomorrow night!
Say's the guy from Pulaski.

I think Ole Miss might be a little overrated just due to their inclusion in the Mississippi/SEC West story that's played out early on. You can't downplay what they've done in the past couple of weeks, but the fact remains that their early schedule was soft and history tells us that Bo has a tendency to throw it to the other team.
Wut? Is that sunshine I see you pumping? Ole Miss has earned their praise IMO. Defense wins championships.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else but read something that said he loved the Vols growing up and would have been a Vol but we never called him. Really irritates me if this is true.

We passed on a few; Bo, Brice, Boyd... sure there are more but there were definite "dumb" recruiting calls made by a few coaches (Dooley, Kiff)

Worley is not the Problem, if you had told me 3 of there OL was all VOL and we never called I would be pissed.:banghead2: Manning couldn't score 20 points a game behind this OL.:eek:hmy:

Amazing how, according to some, Bo Wallace has become John Elway in the past month or so. Last year, there was a legitimate argument at one point that he was the worst starter in the SEC.

There was a legitimate argument. And now there isn't. Forget not recruiting him. Let's talk about QB development. Apparently Freeze is doing something right. We should give him a call because I've seen virtually none. And that isn't just a comment on Worley. It's the whole lot.

I imagine we would see a lot of bad Bo in front of our line. I'm glad we have Worley. It takes a special type player to get pummeled one play, and then throw accurate throws hitting these players in stride more often than not.

I agree. I think Worley has shown tremendous accuracy this year while being pressured every play. He has always taken up for his offensive line even when he is getting demolished. Very proud he is our quarterback.

I don't think anyone is confusing him with Elway. But he's better than you're allowing. I watched him beat Vandy last year to start the season and he looked very good. Also, what probably makes somevol fans wwonder why we didn't go after him is that he is a good runner. I just don't understand what we can't seem to ever put a duel threat qb out on the field

Not like we missed out on Peyton or an all time great. I'm not that mad. Now how the Vols let Patrick Willis go to Ole Miss is beyond me.

Petty is a product of a system, like RG3 was. Worley would be a Heisman contender at Baylor.

Petty and Boyd were both recruited for the Clawfense and either would have done well in that system.

Ole Miss recruits a lot of talent out of Memphis. Oxford is only a 45 min drive from Memphis

I never said we'd necessarily win. I just don't buy into the notion that this is a beatdown for us. I think we can ugly up the game and play with them.

Yep. That's what they always say . . . SEC QBs are judged by what they do to Vandy.

I never said he was bad. I just think it's funny how people are acting like it was some sort of sin to pass on him now that he's gotten to his Senior year and had a couple of good games.

He is not that good.

Outside of the first half vs Boise St., he's been outstanding this year. Playing at a very consistent, high level. Has to come back down to earth for us to have a chance tomorrow imo. When he's good, he's very good.

OM closer to Memphis than any other SEC school. Plus Memphis has traditionally been a cesspool of street agents and coaches with their hands out. Bama spent about a decade in purgatory that started with their booster Logan Young buying players in Memphis. Vols traditionally get 1 or 2 decent guys out of Memphis per year. If you want to discuss one that got away Exhibit A has to be Don't a Hightower. Fulmer may still be the coach today if he'd signed Hightower and I've wondered whether that is the prospect Fulmer was referring to when he claimed that kids had lied to him about their silent commitments.

Yeah well, nobody else offered him either Irritated one! He went to Jr. College to improve his chances at bigger offer. Old Piss was the one that offered. Who you mad at dude? He was either in Bray's class or the one after, so Bo wasn't getting a Vol offer. Brice Petty and T.Boyd are the ones we missed that hurt! Thank Kiffin and Dooley for that!! Go Vols, beat the s-hit out of Mississippi!
