Blu-Ray About to Crush HD-DVD

Blockbuster online carries a pretty full HD-DVD selection. I haven't heard of the online shop going with either format exclusively.

I believe the comments they made a year ago was mainly for stores that start carrying HD discs.

One good thing about this is anyone with a HD player can get movies for a good deal right now.

I know the online does but the stores only carry bluray.BBonline carries HD-DVDs but its harder to find on the site than the blu-rays are, where they have their own sepereate section

good thing XBox 360 didn't marry HD-DVD into the box itself. Wonder how long til an external Blu-Ray is available

Who cares? Standalone players will be under $200 and your PS3 option will be $299 by the end of the year.

Good to know there is a clear cut winner now, I can start replacing my DVDs with Blu-rays, not just getting the new releases.

great, hope they come down in price!

I don't see price coming down with them winning the battle. HD will come down, but BR has a monopoly now.

Uh yeah HD will come down, it's getting clearanced out everywhere!

But yeah, BRD's won't come down in price. The players might a bit, though.
