Personally, I think a 2 seed is the best thing that could’ve happened to us...look around the bracket. If we were one of the 3 one seeds that we potentially could’ve gotten (Duke, UNC, Gonzaga).

Duke vs VaTech
UNC vs Auburn
Gonzaga vs FSU

Looking at “what could’ve been”, I’m MUCH happier with our Sweet Sixteen matchup as a 2 seed vs Purdue, than any of these three matchup we would’ve gotten as a 1 seed. IMO

I said before Selection Sunday that I wanted the 2 in the South over the 1 in the West.

Sucks we had to lose the SECTCG to make that happen but if there was a silver lining in losing to Auburn, that was it.

While I don't disagree, it would be a shame to have this door open for us and we don't step through it tonight.

I'm still frustrated that we have a 40 plus year conference tourney drought, and made it to the final in back to back years and lost. If we had won and been a 1 seed wouldn't that have shifted the other seedings since they take geography and matchups into consideration? Or would the bracket be basically the way it is now except we'd be switched out with UNC or Gonzaga?

At least we are back in the mix as opposed to past years. It would be nice to win sec tourney but this year being a two seed and not having unc, Gonzaga, or duke in our bracket is the best case scenario.

Does anyone know if this is the 1st time we have been favored in this round? I know we are only favored by 1. I don't remember losing one of these sweet 16 games that we were favored to win.

If this is the 8th time then we have lost 6 out of 7 of these games in the past.

Were we favored ve Louisville when they clapped us in 08?

I don’t know about the point spread but I remember it seemed like every analyst was talking about how bad a matchup it was for Tennessee
