We look no different than last yr on offense....we have the advantage at WR yet how many times did we give our big WR'S a chance to go get the ball against cover 1? Middle school OCs have enough common sense to know when a team plays cover 1 75% of the time u have to try to go deep some. ..Instead we run quick screens that pick up 3 yds because it's man coverage. We had the ball in the RZ after a turnover, threw 3 incomplete passes and kicked a FG. It was terrible playcalling. He has some good plays but most of the time he calls them at stupid times and it ends up hurting us.

The most disappointing thing was our WR's.

"In two years" is the new "next year." That's the progress our process is getting us.

Kinda hard to pass when they don't respect the run and the DL knows it can generate pressure at will.

Not when they give u ample opportunity to attack them. Why do we have tall, athletic WRs if we aren't going to use them? People always say why would a WR wanna go to Florida to spend their career blocking yet we are doing the same thing. The only deep balls we threw were to our 5'8" slot WR. North is not being utilized to his full potential. He is a vertical threat. Not a guy u throw quick screens to every play.

As much as this guy gets drilled he should know by now that he doesn't get all day to sit in the pocket and read progressions. Seems like he gets sacked eight times every game. Throw it away! Throw it away. I don't blame any of the coaches. I think this "honeymoon" talk is bs. We have an outstanding staff in place for the first time in a long time and these fans talking about breaking them up drives me insane. Reminds me of a bunch of hens cackling about their favorite soap opera. If we were "out coached" we would've lost by 30. That's the difference in talent between us and Florida. We fought hard and almost won. We are a handful of freshman mistakes from being 4-1. He11, maybe 5-0. Good job team 118. Chin up and keep clawing. We're behind ya.

Only so much you can do without an o-line. Why not put 200lb guys on the line an tell them to just simply hit someone and at least slow them down.

Pretty sure UF blanketed our WRs with safeties over the top. We couldn't block a three man rush

What I don't understand is our receivers couldn't get open much and but UK had guys open all day and their QB threw for 385. We should have been able to do Something.

Winners and Losers from Week 6 of College Football | Bleacher Report

Hard to disagree. The honeymoon is over (as another poster stated). Butch has all the sayings, energy, and recruiting momentum... But it's time for him to take make some changes in a game and stop getting out coached. We are wayyyy to conservative and the scheme we run (read option without a mobile qb) doesn't work. No more excuses... We need to win a few of these rivalry games. Nobody expected us to compete for a championship but we also don't expect him to get out coached at home by muschamps and the worst Florida team we've seen in a decade!

OP, I don't agree with everything you said but do agree that the offense is hard to run without a mobile QB. Heck, he NEVER runs. I think we should go I formation to at least give us an extra blocker.

You made some great points on the play calling. We don't capitalize on our strengths and there is no rhyme or reason to the play calling. I think we will struggle to make a bowl game, which really is pathetic. We have some extremely talented young athletes that are not utilized hardly at all. But the main underlying issue that is most concerning is the offensive line play is so weak that we can't execute most plays in this type of offense. (which I am not a fan of this offense at all). We are starring down the barrel of a 4-8 or 5-7 season.

Pump the brakes a little. Did you see our middle school OL block yesterday? Anything that gets off a pass with more than a 3 step drop its a bona fide miracle.

Last year Mike Baj. and CBJ proved their system can run the ball very effectively. I guess that doesn't account for anything...

We finished in the bottom half of the SEC in almost every significant rushing category last year; how is that "running the ball very effectively"?

I did see the OL and there were still plenty of times we could've threw down the field when they gave us the opportunity

Also we ran a fake screen with a wheel route combo that picked up big yards twice. Did we see that any more when we really needed to move the ball? Nope....

But it's a new week so I'm gonna try to make this my last post on the subject and move on

That's what Dooley said.

And he was also correct (just like current staff) in that it is a process - but they all conveniently forget to mention the obvious which is that there aren't any guarantees regarding the outcome of the process (was the case with Dooley, as is with current staff, or any other staff around the country). Saying it's a process in the end means nothing. Coaches either can recruit and have expertise with their X's and O's or they don't. This staff seems to be much better in recruiting than X's and O's.

Kinda Hard to coach when the QB has 1 friggin sec to get the ball off! Our OL is gonna have to get better in order for us to win games that matter! You all against the coaches might as well get use to it cause they not going anywhere anytime soon!

Pearson is one of our better play makers, he gets his hands on it, he makes things happen. Just like Pig. I would of bubble screened the hell out of them. Ran Hurd. Bubble screen. Hurd. Hurd. Bubble. Hurd. Bubble.......etc.
