Blaming Dooley Again? You Guys Blind?

For todays game

He's responsible for this game as much as any other. He made the decision to implement the 3-4 in a year he needed to win and now he has to live with the consequences. His indecisiveness has lead to this.
In college football, there's a limited amount of practice time. It's hard enough to learn one defense let alone 2 like we're trying to do. When he announced earlier in the year that we would be running both the 3-4 and the 4-3, anyone with any knowledge of defense would know that is not an option. It will take 2-3 years to learn the 34 defense.
That's his decision and therefore his fault.

For the 1st 20 minutes the MSU QB was reading and throwing like PManning. Made only one bad throw all night and about 15 great throws at critical moments.

How do you coach your way out of that situation if your don't have a front 7 like Florida's?

You score with them. On 3rd and short we try to go deep on two drives in a row. Our defense was on the field the entire first half. If our offense is a strength then why don't we use it to control TOP a little better especially with how the defense is playing.

The UT staff called a pretty good game on both sides of the ball tonight. They players looked focused and confident.
The offense was on the field for only 23:29 but gained 361. We ran 34 times for 213 yards = 6.3 ypc! [Vs. UGA, we ran 40 times for 197 = 4.9 ypc.] Bray did his usual 52% vs. SEC teams, but made several very nice throws.
The D didn't give up any long plays tonight (a major improvement), just a lot of short and middle critical plays. None of the D heroics we grew accustomed to under Majors and Fulmer.
Bottom Line: Until we recruit elite D talent that can shrink the field, we're going to be a 7-5 team no matter who is the HC. IMO, Sal can do that...but there's no quick answer.

this maybe the worst coached team of all time

Dude, just stop. Three years in and we can't beat msu. And we have more talent! Dooleys in over his head, its plain to see. There are no more excuses.

You have to understand. Wiseolvol is one of the DDNMW brigade (Defend Dooley No Matter What) and it is NEVER the head coaches fault. It's the players, asst coaches, fans, media etc but NEVER Dooleys fault.

Dooley deserves plenty of blame for the 3 years. But Sal has killed us this year. Dooley hired him, so its on him to. But IMO if Dooley could've worked things out with Wilcox and kept him, we could be a one loss team right now.

Hart wanted him..

Dooley supporters, please defend this:

0-13 vs ranked teams at UT
0-20 vs ranked teams lifetime

I await your answer

How anyone can defend Dooley at this point is beyond me. If you can't see the disaster that we have at head coach right now, then I guess there's no in point arguing it.

I have the right to my opinion because I was a Freshman in JMajors' 1st year - 1977. He went 4-7 and 5-5-1. Not because he was a bad coach (he had just won the NC in 76), but because UT's talent level had finally bottomed out after the Dickey years (when UT had more talent than Alabama.)

I will admit that it's annoying that UT can't even by accident win a big game.

We have Defensive talent on the field but Sal baby is throwing so much crap at them instead of teaching them instinct on following the ball and for goodness sakes just wrapping up. Do you see him trying to show them things on the sidelines or do you see him screaming and spitting his da** "chew" in their faces. You score points like we have the last two ballgames and even the Florida game (till the end) and have somewhat of a defense and we're either undefeated or sitting with one loss. Let's see how old Sal coaches against his "butt buddies" in the crimson next week.....Commish

Talent? These clowns can't tackle a stationary dummy!
