Friends, words have power. They can destroy or they can inspire and create. Choose them wisely!

I think we all agree to that.

This is a “fan” site....a message board. Anyone can “choose” to look or not.

Fans can be amazing, and fans can be harsh.......sometimes fans can be down right mean. However if “one” chooses to read, see, listen, watch, or anything......the negative of “anything”.....that’s on them.

Alabama fans on their message boards were far worse than Tennessee fans during their years of struggle before Nick Saban. Hell, they ran off Dennis Franchione after Alabama went 10-3 in 2002.

I don’t think college athletes read fan blogs. Their schedules are pretty busy. If they have any free time, they are on Netflix, Snapchat, or TikTok. Even Twitter & Facebook are for old people, now.

Really??? Wasn't it VOLNATION and Vol Twitter that proudly claimed they stopped the Schiano deal? So we dont have any influence. What players and prospective players read doesn't have an impact? Really?

Take credit, shift blame. It's the blessed American way ;)

Do you really believe all the negative posts helps the situation? I don't know your situation, but if you were a parent and read what some sports writers and Volnation members are saying, would you want your son to come here?

I think they have zero impact given the reality that is Tennessee football at the moment.

Not talking about something doesn't make it cease to exist.

Actually Dennis Franchione left on his ow accord. He took the Texas A&M job. Alabama was pissed because they had just bought Franchione bobble heads and had to get rid of them .

So players that are closer to the situation and more in the know than anybody are leaving because what outsiders are speculating?
As for recruits, what do you think opposing coaches are saying? “Everything looks great at Tennessee on the surface, but check out Volnation for the real scoop!”

Wake! Up!! Every day that writers post these articles "Declaring the end is near for Pruitt" AND THEY DONT REALLY KNOW!! Your going to have the Henry T's and players that committed to Pruitt want to leave!! It's not! The 3-7 season and your opinion of Pruitt. Pruitt is still here!! Trying to calm these guys and their families. #1. How many guys he recruited want to stay if he is gone?? #2. Do you read the vicious comments about players and Coaches on here? They do! #3. How many current commits want to stay when they are gone??
Face it! Between these sports writers and "get rid of the bum" THE TEAM WILL BE DECIMATED!! would you? Want to come here? If Oklahoma, Bama, Ohio st. Clemson, florida, georgia are offering. When we go 0-12 just blame Pruitt! Or Fulmer! Or Karma🤦‍♂️

OK. I read your post. And your point is????

Bud, you really need to cut the cord. If you are reading the current commentators, you are gonna lose your mind. These guys lock themselves in a air proof booth after stuffing themselves with gas producing foods. Then they get their inspiration for what they write after getting high off their own gas. But as if that isn't ridiculous enough? You are reading it. You are playing into their BS.

If players are coming on here reading what is posted? If they are expecting their tiny egos to be stroked? If they are coming here for inspiration? They need to man up first and show on the field they are worthy of it. This isn't Tee Ball, or church league sports where everybody gets participation trophies and warm hugs. If they need that, so what if they leave? If they want to be treated like 5 year olds, they should have found a way to stay 5 years old.

And as to your call to wake up? Check the mirror. or borrow a booth from your sports writer buddies. Maybe you already did? Hey, whatever floats your boat.

There sure is not one-bit of blame put on Pruitt over the last three years, in this article

Alabama Football: How bad the mess is in Knoxville

We've been decimated long ago.

My concern is with the absolute harshness, like painting the rock and constant bad mouthing from fans, Pruitt knows football! He may or may not be head coach material, but he knows football better than anyone who comments on here! PERIOD! so a better question would be! What player would want to come to Tennessee? These guys were 2 years old when we were relevant! Georgia, Florida, Bama A&M are all successful now! If a Coach can't have us competing for the east in 3 years he is gonna get railed! We have to recruit against those teams just in the SEC! I'm telling you! All this negativity just makes us less attractive to players and Coaches
Wtf do you expect?!? The fans are sick of this crap and you know what they should be. This program is one of the highest earning programs in the country. I would challenge you to find a major program that gets less for the amount of money we spend, challenge you to find a fan base that gets less for the passion they pour into a major program. Just understand, I know you’re frustrated, angry, etc, I think everyone is. Everyone wants the same thing they just have different ideas on how to get it. I agree fans could handle things with more decorum but I think everyone thinks/knows this administration just doesn’t get it, most disconnected and dysfunctional program in the nation.

Blame Phil for hiring Cornbread Boy!
Meh, hiring is one thing. The extension though? That should cost Phil his job and it likely will in the end. I think he gets more time but Steele or whoever the interim is will be severely hamstrung by Pruitt and the way we’ve handled it. Talent on the roster has taken a hit and our recruiting will also be limited for whoever takes over. That’s a deep hole to climb out of.

Again as a reminder, who else was Phil going to get after the debacle search that took place days and weeks before he took the job? Oh yeah John Gruden! WTF? Everyone want's to blame Phil but really we should be thanking him for saving the school from that nightmare PR that was happening 4 yrs ago. Is Pruitt the right hire? I think the jury is still out. He has moments and games where he does a great job but there are times when he seems clueless. This is probably a result from lack of HC experience in regards to inconsistency. We have a helluva a better looking roster than we had 4 yrs ago when B!tch left and coming off the 0-6 conference record! This year was a train wreck for a lot of reasons. The NCAA is even not really counting it as a true season since they did not count this year as a used scholarship year. Did Pruitt handle the year the best, NO but he should get 1 more season, especially with HB at QB and let's see where we go. I'm 50/50 on him right now but to blame Fulmer at this point is ridiculous.

All of Vol Nation is part of this mess, since the March to not hire Schiano.

Vol Nation the epitome of the Monday morning QB.
If you think the jury is still out on Pruitt idk what to tell you. Pruitt had managed to put together a resume that would make Derek Dooley laugh. The fans wouldn’t be an issue if the administration wasn’t dumber than any in the entire nation.
