IMO this might impact their play in the GA game.

The suspension game is the only game they play before GA. The only game they had to get their offense in synch.

My wife's analysis of Blake Mitchell as quarterback is simple:

"He's just not good looking enough to be the quarterback."

Didn´t Mitchell start out 2006 on a suspension, and Syvelle Newton started against MSU in the ugliest game ever?

No. He wasn't as fleet of foot as Syvelle Newton, so when he got sacked for the 78th time in 2 games, they put Newton in.

THEN Blake went down to Five Points and rabbit punched the bouncer and was suspended.

Spurrier said that Blake is appealing the suspension. Like him or not, he's the best QB we've got. I think he makes some less than thoughtful decisions, but as far as having a handle on the offense, he's the man.

I didn't realize that after he returned to QB in the Arkansas game, Carolina's offense averaged 488 yards per game in the last 4 games, including road games at Florida and Clemson.

Of course, we'll see how good they are without #4 running around out there, but I'm optimistic. I'm just glad that the season will be cranking up next weekend!
