Why would you do that? If you're in a frat, I would hope they would respect UT's request that the students especially wear the "It's Time" shirt. I know the Student Affairs office STRONGLY encouraged all the frats to participate.

If they're refusing, that's a real shame.

it's tradition and usually only for pledges. I doubt a couple hundred freshmen guys will make an impact on the "orange out".

Who cares about some frat tradition? The university has asked the campus groups to take part in this, and the fact that some just refuse is stupid.

many people care about it more than buying some ugly shirt the univ is hocking and making sure to wear it for a couple hrs. I'm sure there will be plenty of people not wearing the shirt (without any excuse) to direct your anger

Went to College Station in Hamilton Place Mall the other day and their "It's Time" shirts were $19.95. and they will not refund money on purchases only in store credit. Everywhere else that I have seen them they have been $14.95 even on the strip in Knoxville. Just fyi if you still plan to purchase one in the Chattanooga area.

If people don't want to wear the shirt, I don't care, that's their choice.

What I do have a problem with is a UT organization, whether is a frat or whoever, telling its members that they can't take part in what the university wants to be a special event.

Seems like the frats never want to take part in these special events because they interfere with their plans. Maybe they shouldn't even bother coming to the games at all.

Trust me..these orange outs rarely work anyway. I'm not going to risk not wearing what im supposed to and potentially suffer the consequences just so I can wear that stupid t shirt.

here's a hint- there are no consequences. Unless you're going with an active they won't recognize you there. Where are you pledging?

As of yesterday, they've sold 45,000 of the shirts, so its certainly looking like its going to work out pretty well.
