Used the Razorback SMG yesterday and it melts people. Got the pump action shotgun to level 9 and unlocked the long barrel and it is as good if not better than the BO2 Remington. It feels like MW2 where all of the weapons were viable options, so just pick your favorite. The last couple of CODs required you to use 2-3 guns if you wanted to remain competitive.

The new exo movement will get you killed rather than allow you to juke and strafe like a madman, which I appreciate (my aim sensitivity isn't incredible).

The killstreaks are actually fun to use again, I only used a couple in AW.

The three maps they're letting us play are fun too. Solid 3 lane maps, like God intended.

Let me try to put my finger on the problem I have with this. It's hard to explain but something is just ehh for me with this game. I guess after playing Battlefield after the last few Cod games sucked I just can't go back to cod. It's too... "Cartoony" or wishy washy fake colored I guess? Just doesn't feel realistic at all when all of the maps are so bad looking with their weirdness.

I know what you're saying. And I agree with it. I think when we were complaining about graphics earlier in the thread it was along these lines as well.

Additionally, the run animation and the drastic sway annoys me to death.

It's fun to play the beta, and that's about as far my career in CoD will go. So, I'm happy with the beta. A decent enough diversion this week/weekend.

The visuals that Treyarch use are very bright. They did that with Black Ops 2 as well. COD is definitely not intended to be "realistic" like Battlefield, and especially Treyarch's interpretations of COD. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer use more drab colors, similar to DICE.

I'm less concerned with ultra realistic graphics as long as a game is fun, and Black Ops 2 was (and still is) the most popular COD. I feel like they have hit that with BO3 so far. With a full team of friends, it is a fun experience. Getting put on random teams sucks.

I understand there is COD fatigue though, for some people. But I've been away for long enough to enjoy it again. I'll be playing the Xbox beta next week too.

Do you have to pre-order the game to play the beta? Or are they going to release it to all players?

I agree with all but you saying Sledgehammer uses drab colors. AW is pretty colorful. I'd say Black Ops III looks more realistic than AW graphics.

The crazy character uniforms and weapon skins are very colorful, but I meant the map environments. They're not as colorful as Treyarch usually does, but definitely more colorful than Infinity Ward.

I can't overstate how much better just the beta is than the whole AW game. Yeah the graphics aren't the best they could be but the game play is on point.

Graphics are not that big of a deal to me....but if the gameplay is on point than its all good for me.

I agree. Going back to AW was hard enough already, but after that beta, I'll likely not boot it up again. I just need Wednesday to get here so I can start again on Xbox.

I haven't preordered yet. Trying to see if I can't get a code off someone else first. If not I'll do the Amazon preorder/cancel trick Rosen suggested.
