Eric Mangini of the Jets gone!!
Romeo Crennel of the Browns gone!!
Rod Marinelli of the Lions gone!!

I wonder what impact if any it will have in the college ranks such as a team going after an Urban Meyer or Brian Kelly or someone else.

According to ESPN is that Bill Cowher is not interested in any NFL job at the moment but who knows.

I think it's pretty obvious that the Jets dropped Mangini in order to make their run at Phil Fulmer.

Mangini is a surprise. Crennel and marinelli probably had their houses up for sale months ago.

Jerry Jones is the new Al Davis. I don't see any hope in Dallas, there is no team chemistry only whiners who want the ball.

I believe he reiterated it after the game yesterday as well.

I also cannot believe Wade will be kept or has been thus far. He looked lost everytime they showed him this year. Seems way to easy for that group of stars and basically lets them do whatever they want.

At any given screen shot of the Dallas sideline, i can spot at least 3 people i hate and at least 2 who served jail time.

Anyone know of any assistant coaches on the Jets staff that Kiffin may have interest in?

Speaking of Mangini, how awkward is it going to be when he explains to his newborn son why his middle name is Brett?

"Well, you see son, I named you after Brett Favre, the guy who got me fired... but I hadn't been fired yet when you were born!"

I really want to see the Vols successful, but let's see how much leeway Coack K is allowed as compared to CPF.

Are you speaking of CPF covering up for the drug heads he recruited and always giving people more chances to fail?

Or more chances to succeed. I am just amazed that he has become such a pariah.

Do yourself a favor and examine his record against top 25 the past 8 years then compare his won/loss record when Cutcliffe was here and when he was not and you will discover why he is an pariah.

As I asked earlier I wonder if Kiffin is looking at any of those assistants. The Browns actually had a decent defense and their LB was good.

While I am doing that, do yourself a favor and answer this question. Whenever another coach such as JoPA was mentioned on this board and compared to CPF, the argument was always made that he (JoPa)surrounded himself with a good coaching staff and he should be given time to turn the program around. What is the difference between the two?

Fulmer is no Joe Pa or Bobby Bowden and Fulmer was the one who hired Clawson and had to answer for it. The sooner you realize that Fulmer would have been gone years ago if it had not been for the contributions of Cutcliffe running of the offense. The faster you can get over being a Fulmerite.

Fulmer might have been ok had he surrounded himself with good people. There were only a few he really trusted and I think he was afraid to get a high profile guy on his staff (outside those he trusted) for fear he would be replaced by them.

Good call Jay...and wasn't it PF that stated he thought EA would be the starting qb in NY before the season was over (before that little trade got in the way) ? hmmmm the possibilities...

He is as good as both. And I believe when he became head coach, Cut was elevated to O.C. Clawson was a mistake, but again let's see what the patience level is with Coach K. I hope he is wildly successful, but let's see.
