We obviously aren't Alabama right now...

We are a middle of the pack SEC team who has lost our 3 best players...

We have just been dealt crushing defeats by FL, UGA, LSU, and Bama

We are starting a true Freshman QB in Justin Worley

It seems logical to me that using black jerseys to create enthusiasm in a locker room is a smart strategy on Dooley's part.

If this team needs to put on a different color jersey to get pumped up to play a top 15 team we have a hell of a lot more problems than I think we do.

Anyways, this is all moot. Dooley has said on several occasions there is no way in hell we are wearing black jerseys. So stop getting your hopes up.

I'm 25 and pretty darn cool. I say do it. It's just 1 game every two years. If I was a player I could see where it would be fun and its important for the players to have fun.

You sir are 100% correct as someone who is about the same age as these most on the team at 24 . And the black uni do excite the team and the fans . Drunken talks all he wants about wins but this helps us with our home field advantage :banghead2: and if we could start a tradition like the one mentioned above it would be great. I live in SC and you dont know how good it was to see my boys in those all black uni that night and Neyland rocking . I ready to sign up for a class :loco:

Why do we keep comparing ourselves to Alabama? We are Tennessee, I love our jerseys but if wearing black will get these kids pumped up and ready to play against a top 15 team then who cares do it! People get all crazy about changing our uniforms for one game why? Yes we have tradition, but the kids are playing not us! It's also 2011 all schools are changing uniforms once a year for a big game! LSU,FLA,UGA, and plenty more wear different uniforms some games. Hell even NFL goes throw back once a year. There is no problem with it all that matters is wins and loses
