IT IS NEW YEARS EVE....if EBerry,Hardesty,JC & co want to, I think MH and CLK would let them. Possibly even all black since they've got a whole month now. I personally think they will/should wear all orange like they have in the past in ATL. They obviously want the Dome 70% Orange. I'm just saying, they'll honor the players resonable wishes in their going out party. IF eric says its black out NYEVE, I'm wearing BLACK to the DOME.

The only sport we're not black in is football and women's sports. I don't understand where this "we're orange and white only" comes from. Basketball and baseball both have plenty of black trim and even black uniforms (baseball), as does track. I'm not suggesting we wear black every home game, neither is anyone else but once a year or so for big games or special games I support it 100%. As Coach Kiffin said the game is for the kids, not the coaches, not the fans, not the boosters, not the AD, the decision should be their's and their's solely. I'm a traditionist in the strongest sense, but I also recognize that things change and if you cling to the past you'll never have a future. Black uniforms in a primetime game (the only game) will bring much excitement and exposure probably more so than the USC game did.

The basketball team has black trim, they've never had a black uniform (yet). The football team has had black trim on the away jerseys for about 15 years now.

What I don't get is why you say wearing black would bring so much "excitement". If they aren't excited to play in the CFA Bowl in primetime on NYE against a good VT team already, then black jerseys are the least of anyone's problems. And pray tell me WHY it would bring more exposure? It's the only game on, and they've already worn the black jerseys. Do you think the headline would be "Vols wear black jerseys...uh..again!"

Your argument is extremely weak; I personally don't care one way or the other but this picture you paint is that with the black jerseys they'll be hyped to the moon and everyone will be peeing in their pants with excitement but if we wear orange then everyone will be bored is ridiculous.

Since the SEC team will be the home team in this years chick-fila bowl, any chance we wear the black jerseys.

You got a better chance seeing Lincoln kick a field goal that night then us in black jerseys and God knows that could never happen.

Absolutely ZERO chance...That was a one time thing...Don't get used to it

I agree it won't happen in the bowl game but you are sorely wrong if you think it was a one time thing. They also said it would never ever happen and look how that turned out.

I do hope that if by a snowball's chance in hell we do wear the black jerseys that we get them from Adidas so they look better and we go with black pants and possibly helmets

I think we will go with the organge shirts and white pants. But as far as the black unis are concerned, if they were to go with them again ANYTIME soon, I wish they would spend some time on them to make them look good. As others have said, they were put together at the last minute. IMO black pants are in order for the next time. Atleast it wouldn't look like we half-assed them
