In advance, a Happy Thanksgiving to all and safe travels to those on the road.

We know Thursday is reserved for Turkey and family, but what, if any, are your day after traditions?

Does anyone get up early and trample people in an effort to get a Tickle-Me-Elmo (or whatever the "must have" item is this year)? Who's looking for/getting what on Friday? For yourself? Gifts?

I don't get into the rush of the malls or the super stores but I do get up and go to Home Depot, Lowes, Northern Tool, and Sports Authourity(they give out gift cards to the first 80 people $10-$500) After me and my dad hit SA, Lowesa, and HD we meet the women at IHOP for breakfast and then we head to NT and are usually home by noon.

Me & She did that a couple of years ago. No thanks. Luckily she is a type B shopper. I tolerate the shopping experience better than her.

Went out a couple of times over the past few years with my wife and parents. We didn't really need anything, just went to the mall, ate breakfast, and watched people make idiots of themselves. Also, it is pretty funny how easy it is to find stuff in the afternoon that didn't sell that everyone waited in line for that morning.

All shopping gets done BEFORE Thanksgiving. We will not get caught dead at a big box or mall between turkey day and X-mas.
As for Black Friday......family football game!!!!!!!

Black Friday here I come!!!! I can't wait! I look forward to this day. My mom, 2 aunts, grandmother and cousin all get out and shop the day after. Kohl's is the first place we go and we are usually there at 3:30 (no later) By 9 or 9:30 we are ready for lunch!!!

The only time I've done the Black Friday thing was when I was looking for something in particular. I went to Circuit City last year to get a tv that I was wanting. I tried the Walmart thing several years ago. I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. I'll go anywhere except for Walmart. I may go get another TV this year, but haven't decided yet.

I would rather be kicked in the groin with a pointy toed boot than go Black Friday shopping.

I always kinda like Black Friday. I usually research deals way ahead of time or find if I can buy things online instead of going in store. On Friday I'll usually hit up 1-3 stores, get the few things I want and call it a day.

It's way less hectic here in Dayton than it was when I lived in Alabama though so that makes it more enjoyable.

I saw on the news that there were people in tent that started the line at Best Buy here last night at midnight. Pretty funny considering many of those deals are available online with fewer limits on quanities than at the stores.

From what i have seen there aren't that many good deals out there this season. Wal Mart is open all night now so people don't trample others when the doors open.

Have never understood the black Friday mad rush. Wait a couple of weeks and you can get as good or better prices as the countdown winds to Christmas.

Many of the Black Friday deals are available today online. I just picked up several items from Best Buy and Target. Many items have free shipping too.

This is the route I went this year. I bought a bluray player on Amazon.com, no hassle, no maniacs to cuss out, it was great. :dance2:

Pretty much. Besides most stores run the same sales Friday and Saturday, what's the rush to get up a 4 am for something you can get at 4 pm for the same price? I will not be going out shopping today, no way no how.

going to buy a washer and dryer today from Lowes. Cheapest I had found was $635 each until I saw the HD add for $499 in yesterday's paper. Lowes will price match and take off 10% extra so I save almost $400 after delivery and installation.
