Blab bla blah bla blah

Tired of the blind faith brigade.. It's too early to harp on Butch too much, but he isn't immune to it. Last weeks performance raised some serious questions on his in game coaching ability. He'll get plenty of chances to silence people. It is a message board and these things are discussed in here. Otherwise find some board that constantly pumps sunshine up people's rears, this isn't it.

Believe me, I get it. I, too, have criticisms of CBJ's coaching decisions. If I'm to look for a sunshine pumping board should you also be looking for the black hole board? Seriously though, I'm ready to move on to UF and I sincerely hope we all see improvement and come away with the win.

Two years ago we were lamenting a bad loss to VANDY!!!
Last year we were lamenting a bad loss to a historically bad Florida team.
This year we are absolutely beside ourselves losing to a ranked Oklahoma team that some "experts" even had in the playoffs.

Anyone else see a trend other than just losing? Or are we all just completely half-empty?

Feels like UT's program has been in a black hole for what seems like eternity. Won't get into why but most of it has to do with the people making the decisions.

The administration hasn't been committed to a successful program. The hires say it all.

Were the people making the decisions young and inexperienced, is this why the Vols were in that black hole? I didn't think so....

Man, I agree with that. We're on a decade of despair. I guess that balances out our decade of dominance. The current decision makers aren't responsible for what came before them. CBJ and coaches have made mistakes. The players have too. I remain optimistic that the coaching as well as the players will improve their performance. If not, Changes will be made.

If we ever choose to officially make that distinction, I would suggest that we designate the "sunshine pumpers'" board the Big Orange Nation, since the sun often appears orange (even though it technically isn't). Conversely, the "Negavols'" board could be abbreviated as SS (Sarkasmusstaffel, which would be the manufactured German equivalent of "Sarcasm Squadron"), since sarcasm is clearly the literary weapon of choice for that contingent of Vol Nation.

Maybe CBJ is just warming up for Peyton Manning who is looking closer to the end after last night's game. Something's wrong with his arm or the neck thing again. He's the smartest football mind in uniform, and I hope he coaches.

Peyton Manning won't coach qb's in this type offense.

I see that in a little over two years you've amassed over 20k posts. Congrats. Since you have so much free time on your hands there Butchna, maybe you should go back and read why i arrived at what i said. See i was talking to another fella there when you happened to put your ignorant two cents worth in.

Doesn't take much time for me to post ...put in a full day AND took my daughter to the movies. (Black Mass...decent flick). Four months from being a 3 year poster...easy. In February of 2014, I lost my wife of 17 1/2 years...maybe I ramped up my posts since then. Sorry it bothers you and the Oklahoma fan and every one that disagrees with me, but this place is kind of a refuge for me. :hi:

I am sick of all the threads on here about we are still young, and "but we weren't expected to beat OK," and "the team is still learning, and crap, and more crap...

Call a Spade a Spade.

CBJ has not yet, not once, out coached anyone.

Yeah he beat Spurrier last year...who didn't?

And the year before that we won due to a miracle catch by North.

MO out coached us, Vandy out coached us, and even the Gators coach out coached us.

We have lost two games now where we were up big going into the 4th quarter. Now our OC says we need to learn blitzes etc.

CBJ has the ability to grow. he can mature as a coach and he can get it together. But unless something changes he is our Zook.

I mean does anyone think we lose to either FL or OK if Gruden had of actually taken the job...

Well you want to call a spade a spade... Fans like you on here are B...hing whining @$$3$ that think they're Gods gift to football thus their high profile VN coaching jobs...Our coach has done a Great job putting this team together and yes this team is young 70 under class men (Fr So) and 39 upper (Jr Sr) I would consider that young seeings how most of the "talent" you all on here call for fall in that 70 and yes still learning...So I understand that a loss hurts specially when we had a lead, but get your perfect @$$3$ over it and get behind this team because as a team there has been great gains and more to come listen to the coaches (and not the voices in your heads) that said we still aren't there yet but getting there...let the process run it's course have some patience Our coach is a winner he has won at every stop...Oh and by the way he has a higher winning percentage than CJG (.541) CBJ (.606)

You just defended my argument, why does everyone want a coach that lazy. I would rather have one willing to put in the work!

Let me see, work 6 months out of the year, weekends only for 4 million or work 60 hours a week, travel all around the country recruiting, putting up with the media, helping mold 85 teenagers who have egos bigger than neyland into young men, and the other 1000 things involved with big time football for 3.75. That's not lazy, that is smart.
