Come on man he's just contridicting himself. He said ever let them see you sweat. Then he ups and leaves the team. To much crying, the coach is the coach bottom line, now he turns on the staff!!!! What about his team mates? Has he thought of them? Or what they think? He's spilling the beans on what's going on cause he's not happy. Well, good luck quitter. UT don't need your kind.

BJ knows that some big time talent is coming and he's got too much ego to admit that there's just know way he's going to be able to compete with them. The only sad part is the way he left. I honestly expected a bit more class and maturity from him. He's just another Joey Matthews as far as I can see. Good kid, decent talent, but not top flight SEC talent that is required to move this team back to the top. Are you guys more interested in watching mediocre local kids or moving back to the top of the SEC and nation? Sounds like a bunch are still happy with Uncle Fulmer type results and watching their local HS kids...not me. Bye bye BJ and good luck.

Taj Boyd was the 4th ranked QB last season, and was already committed to coming to UT, and after Kiffin was named head coach, he met with him and decommitted because Kiffin was interested in a running QB and didn't want him to come to UT and be unhappy.

"2 top QBs" and "Top 2 QBs" are very different. I doubt he expects us to sign the top two quarterbacks in the nation. He's just saying we have a good chance of getting two good quarterbacks in this class. And Heaps will almost certainly move up the rankings; most here would rather have him than Bell or Sims.

I think these players moving on is best for the program. I believe it will increase the team morale. Most of the people moving on are players that could negatively affect the team with their decisions and attitudes, or they are players that could not have helped the team physically and Kiffin is just being honest and giving them a chance to continue their careers in a place where they can be happy and not upset because they aren't on the field.

I wasn't there for any of the practices or the team meetings, etc. Only those directly involved know all the details. This is one of those deals where we just have to trust the staff and move on. We can't continually second guess all of these off season moves. It will ultimately all be decided on the field. If we win, the moves were right. If not, maybe there were mistakes made. We won't know the answers to those questions for about 3 years from now.

I don't have any insider knowledge or anything, but I personally think that CLK told BJ that the staff was going to work with Crompton to get him ready to be the starter. CLK recruited Crompton while he was at USC, and he knows what the kid can do. I just think that CLK and the staff believe that between now and august, they can get Crompton to a higher level than what BJ was going to be at.

If Coleman was clearly the better QB, no way Kiffin would not play him just so he could bring in a top notch QB. Why would Kiffin care what the QB recruits thought if he knew Coleman was that good and he could start him the next 3 years. I am just not buying it.

Every coach when they cut a player tries to put some spin on it to say "I made the right decision"

Odds are though cuts really doesn't make that much of a positive difference unless you're cutting someone who injures other players on his team or does something else to make everyone hate him

This is before they left and not a coach, and I don't think he was putting much of a spin on it at all.

Honestly, i think crompton is this coaching staff's favorite and for some reason they think they can turn him around from interceptions and goalline fumbles to heath shuler or something....

not sure why, cause there really shouldnt be much to be high on crompton as this point, but the staff seems dead set on giving him a 180 i guess

I know one thing for sure. I will be rooting for crompton to have a good season...if for nothing other than the fact that he has never once waivered, gave up, or been afraid of competition...even when it was apparent he would sit for 3 years before getting his chance.

When I looked, there's only 1 QB in rivals top 10 pro QB's that is considering UT and he's about as far geographically as you can get in the continental U.S.
