Bituli and Jumper combined for 42 tackles

Look there's a difference in a Lb making a talke and making the play. Bitulli made plays behind te LOS. Meanwhile Jumper missed plays and made tackles mostly after missing the play and coming from behind to make a tackle. As a Mlb thats not a positive. On several ocasions he would be in the area and just blatantly miss the play on the ball carrier. He can be a good person, great kid but he's not staring Mlb material. I'm willing to bet the farm he'd never toc the field at Mizzou, Vandy, or Ky. He's awful and a major liabilty. I swear several of us that communicate with Thig all called and asked WHY. He said not again and it was ultimately not is call this time. Just nit aceptable to hv this kid on the field. Btw heart don't mean didly squat without talent and ability.

It seems like the handler barber would do better work then .

Jumper is a great kid and I am glad he's on our team. This game was not a good match up for him. That quick QB was giving everyone fits trying to tackle him. Speed kills. Jumper will look a lot faster this coming week. We need a better long term solution. Get the next man ready.

I had to find this thread as folks are posting crap about Colton all over multiple threads. This is his official bio at UT and it reflects a young man who didn't have all the physical gifts some other players have but is the starting middle linebacker for the Vols after injuries to others and he has played his butt off for this school. I know the beating and stress of playing at UT plus trying to get a degree. Yes, it makes me sick that more people don't step up to shut up the people bad mouthing him. He is not (fill in the blank) and I get that. It doesn't matter. He is the best we have now so show him some support...please.

Good post. Jumper is doing the best he can and if anyone was better or more suitable for MLB it seems they would be playing in his place. No, he was not great but I feel he gave his all and again, if anyone better was available the coaching staff would have had them on the field. I guess I just can't understand all the venom and hate spewed forth by some in this thread. Seems to me the injuries and lack of depth have placed him between the proverbial devil and deep blue sea thus giving haters someone/something else to hate on.

[Look I get the fact that he is not great, but he did pretty decent that night. I'm not saying it is acceptable to be making tackles 7 to 10 yards down the field. But, if he wasn't making those tackles at that point, who else was gonna make them. The line didn't! We have a better linebacker but he's hurt, I know, but to act as if he is the only one that over ran tackles or didn't make the tackle, or whatever the reason, is a little absurd. I'm just giving some credit to him. Doesn't mean that I don't want better. I just don't he was the worst on the D that night.
