Occasionally I come across a rival fan bashing UT on all of our great hires and I can't help but laugh.

"Congratulations to college football's most classless, underhanded University athletic football program in the nation, The Tennessee Volunteers. The protocol for recruiting another university's coaching staff is to ask for permission to interview. You ask for it when someone else shows an interest in a member of the UT staff! But not Big Orange, no! I hoped things would change with Phil gone, but the UT football athletic program has shown it is rotten to the core after all."

"Shame on you, Lane Thompson. They (Kiffins) threw you a bone; the rest of the S.E.C. hope you choke on it."

"Kiffin won't be there after 3 years. Tennessee won't stand for the losses, as shown by the firing of Phil Fulmer, so after losing to Bama, Florida, Ga, LSU, Kiffin will be fired. The best recruiting in the world is not going to stop a player from going to Bama or Florida if that is where they want to play. He can't cheat like Pete Carroll at USC because he would get caught. RTR!"

I enjoying watching other SEC fans squirm almost as much as I enjoy watching Vol fans be happy.

Its amazing how hypocritical they are. What about their beloved Nick Satan. How much permission did they have to snag him away from the Phins? Sounds like they are chewing on alot of sour grapes.

Really rich is the idea of a true, died in the wool bammer moron trying to call USC cheaters.

It's funny that people get so bent out of shape when a coach doesn't "ask permission" to interview a member of another coach's staff.

Well, I'm proud of the bama fan for knowing how to use a word like protocol in a sentence.

That dude must be one of those guys who never got to play in the big game or was picked last in dodgeball and it has hurt his feelings for life. Now he will grow up to be a Cop and try to be a bully. Alabama is just mad because it took them 4-5 coaches before they finally got it right.

And for any team to worry about a coach leaving for more money or for any reason it should be Alabama. Because everyone knows how Nick Saban is so loyal to the programs he coaches!

I'm a fan of the free market. Getting "permission" to hire someone is overrated/silly. If he were happy, then he would have given Alabama a chance to match or beat the offer. I don't blame him for leaving just like I wouldn't blame any coach leaving for better job/pay.

As for my future employment, I sold out a long time ago. Show me the highest bidder!
