I guess you heard about this. Most people think it was just a stunt and don't like it. I thought about it and decided that this is really a positive story...just not the way most would think. To think we can now put complete idiots into space and bring them back with a very high degree of confidence and safety is showing the real progress is being made in developing space travel. I mean, the hardest part of any flight by any vehicle is the take off and the landing. The flight in-between is usually uneventful. So now we are good enough to take any 5 random morons and fly them into space and back safely. This is a good thing as we couldn't do that before. Imagine Apollo 13 with "those" passengers. It would have been a disaster.

IMO ... this should merge w/the space exploration thread.

They want to be called astronauts. They were basically cargo.

By their standards we ought to call the monkeys and dogs humans launched into space astronauts too. A better comparison may even be more like me wanting to be called a pilot because I flew in an airplane once.

Airline passengers should be called pilots

It was a suborbital flight they were only up there 10 minutes.

Because they are women "celebrities" the MSM fell all over them. It's a shame that the MSM didn't give the same coverage to all civilian missions like the Inspiration 4 that helped raise money for St. Jude that had the youngest American astronaut in 29yo cancer survivor now Physician Assistant Hayley Arceneaux or Polaris Dawn which saw the crew of 4 two men & two women fly the furtherest from space 870 miles the highest orbit of earth breaking the record of Gemini 11 and the furtherest anyone has been since Apollo 17 and also had the first civilian EVA (space walk).

I thought that was age specific. For example I’m 56 and work very hard at being perdy. I thought over 40 was “himbo “ or is but youth was still a “menbo”. Or are they both “Himbo” but you add “VIP” for us more mature Himbos so we feel better about it?

Truthfully I never even heard Himbo before until the barbie movie. Ken was such a Himbo.

I'm pretty sure menbo is just something we'll find in your search history.
