is Napier's hometown. His dad, Bill, was one of the best offensive minds in north Georgia for years as he coached the small and slow Murray County Indians. If Billy's like his dad, he coaches players to be tough, smart and mean. I like it!

I went to school with Billy and lived down the street from him and coached with his Dad. I talked to him yesterday. He laughed when he answered the phone. He said "I bet I know why you are calling". I asked him about the UT job and he told me he had never applied or been contacted by UT about the opening. Also he was not interested if he was contacted about it later. He was never in Knoxville. He thinks it is South Carolina fans trying to disrupt Clemson recruiting. According to him, the only job he is interested in leaving Clemson for would be as a QB coach. Believe me don't believe me, but I don't know if anyone else has talked to him directly, but that is HIS story. Many appoligies to Brent Hubbs, but if he posted or quoted anything about Napier and this job, he is very much NOT in the know. Again, this is not from any buddies of a friend of a sister of a mom or dad. This is from him.

Sorry not to get back to you until now, seems you missed me, however, work wouldn't have understood had I stayed on.
Thanks for the link.
However, it didn't report any of the things being stated.
I think Quarles deservers a shot.
That Clemson stuff was funny, but no, I would not call the USuCk thing a rivalry, it's bordering on abuse.
I do hope earnestly that this new offensive staff is successful, as I try to run up 75 on Saturdays when I'm not Clemson bound.

bro, everyone on here knows that you wish Clemson had Tennessee's tradition and reputation for sports excellence. We can sense the overwhelming envy that seeps through your posts. In a way I feel sorry for you.

Noogatiger, My friend is on the Clemson B-Ball staff and very good friends w/Billy and he said that he interviewed for the opening. So believe me or not don't smash on somebody that you do not even know. I talked to him the other night so after I got off the phone with him, I posted it on the website for you guys. So I would appreciate the info that I gave from someone that is good friends with Billy and be quiet.. Talk about something that you know about

no envy here.
Jurevicious, if you've got a friend on staff, I apologize, however, you must understand how unlikely it would seem that someone would make that claim on this board and be legit. I do not know you personally, therefore, if it is true, I apologize.
Back to the envy thing, in the face of the "Thou doth protest to much" arguement, I will explain my position for anyone who cares. I am a HUGE college football fan. I grew up in Clemson, in the days of Danny Ford's brand of Clemson Football. I now reside in TN, and with numerous friends who are die hard Vols, and them being the "local" team of interest, I consider them my second team. There is no conflict normally with Clemson and UT, as they are in different conferences. The atmospheres are mirror images on gameday. I am a fan of both schools and teams, and only once have I had to pick, and I picked right that time.

Yes, I've been to a few games in Knoxvile in the last couple of years. Pretty sure I had already stated that.
I don't recall anyone from Clemson calling Howard's rock "mystical".
I've never heard of Beta Theta Pi, so I won't comment on that, but glad you had a good time.
Also, what kind of idiot would compare two things if he had only experienced one? Of course I've been to Knoxville on gameday.

Man, if I could be as cool as you.
But then, I'm about 8,150 posts from that, huh?
And a picture of some other dude as my avatar

Seriously justin, in order for you to really be cool you have to go onto other team's message boards and troll about Tennessee and the SEC.
