Weird as hell list imo even though I think Heupel is top five probably.

No way in hell Day is first. No way in hell Kelly is top ten imo. Smart should be default be first at this point. Sark probably wins a title in the next couple of years. Mullen wtf??? Franklin is mediocre imho.

Funny seeing Mullen, Kiffin, Gundy, Schiano, and Doeren behind Heupel on this list. Kiffin obviously was but, the rest could have been our coach at one time or another. Dodged a few bullets IMO.

Franklin at 4, Sark at 29...could easily flip those two.

FWIW - Traylor is going to land at a big time program in the next year or two and make a contender out of them.

The tweet is garbage because of the way it is framed. Connelly isn’t ranking them based on who he believes is the best coach. Here’s the explanation:

“For each year someone is a head coach, we could compare his team's SP+ rating for that season to the school's average from the 20 previous years.”

Kelly has a 10x greater argument for being top 10 than Heupel does for being no top 2. Outside of Tennessee fans, Heupel’s ranking is the one that would cause anyone else to say the list is BS

Agree with all that.

I love that Beamer and Dorkowitz aren’t on here. Although Beamer should be. Dork probably should be too, even though I can stand him.

I love Heupel, but I can’t put him this high yet.

Schiano would’ve been a terrible fit here and was awful in the NFL, but he’s good at a place like Rutgers. That place has been completely worthless except when he is there, and they have undoubtedly improved a lot since he returned there.

Schiano and Heupel are basically night and day as far as human beings as well.

Solid list. I am thinking he is seeing what Heupel took over when hired with a short handed squad and what he has done. Heupel is definitely top 10 minimum IMO.
