Biggest Underperformer

Who does everyone think is the biggest underperformer this season?

Yeah it's hard to argue for anyone other than Drew Richmond, except possibly Eli Wolf. The difference being Wolf was invited to SEC media days to represent the team, which would indicate that big things were expected of him.

In defense of ALL of the tight ends, I think they’ve been asked to do mostly blocking due to the ineffeciency of the offensive line. I believe they had much higher hopes of contributing in the actual passing game rather than having to stay home to provide protection.

Jalen Hurd -
Deprived us of a few thousand more posts lamenting Butch's inability to coach up talent and play them in the correct spot.

Keller Chryst -
Hasn't been able to make it on the field without JG being hurt.

JJ Peterson -
Barely made the team.

Kongbo -
We lowered his expectations again this year and he still managed to disappoint.

Edit: Use blue glasses

Oh, are we only taking shots at UT players?
I put this post in the same category as the "over-rated" chant. It does nothing to put our own team in a good light an indicates that the only reason we won is because of an under performance by our opponent.

Yeah I hate that chant. Why devalue your own accomplishment?

I'm not surprised a thread like this would show up the Monday after beating the #11 ranked team in the country but I'm a little disappointed. It's like our fans just don't enjoy the wins enough anymore.

Tyler Byrd hasn’t done much

He’s performed a lot better than people think. He’s doing admirably in areas that many people don’t notice....I would say that Austin Price is the the biggest loser. He’s dogged Byrd all year even when he’s had very good games. He’s terrible when it comes to football analysis.

Except that Wolf was a walk on and Richmond was a 4 and 5 star. Big difference.

That is a Missouri fan who joined VN yesterday. Thought we had a 100 post minimum before you start a thread?

I've noticed. He meets expectations by blocking well and will always be a threat at receiver where we have an abundance of talent. Murphy hasn't done much either simply because their #'s don't get called that often but when it does they do well. Picked up 59 yds. on an end-around Saturday.
