I know we all think we got a chance, but lets think about it for a second. we are 3-4, and around mid-70's in the rankings. And Alabama is 7-0, and is #2 in the nation.

I do not remember a time when we were such underdogs, but I would love nothing more then a victory over Alabama.

GO VOLS

It all depends on the first half. If bama jumps out to a huge lead then things will get ugly. If we keep it within a touchdown at the end of the first half we have a chance.

we need to get the lead in the first half, and seal the deal in the second, it doesnt have to pretty, but just has to be a win.

I agree 100%. Bama has been dominant in the first half and laid back in the second so far this year. Tennessee must come out intense right from the opening kickoff and punch them right in the nose.

I would say our 40-18 win over Notre Dame back in....'79, was it?...was pretty huge.

Don't remember the spread, but no one really gave UT much of a chance.

If memory serves, ND came in as the #2 team in the nation, with RB Vegas Ferguson as a Heisman candidate.

That's been 29 years ago, and I still remember how sick I was the next morning.

go vols.

We finally have a chance to repay Bama for 1990. We were undefeated and ranked #3. They had three losses and upset us 9-6. Would be sweet justice. (I just don't see how we get the nine points).

I wouldnt say nothing to lose. Fulmer could lose his job on this one. Especially If its an embarassing losss like last year. Bama could still go to the sec championship game if they win the rest games or at least beat LSU. Fulmer couldnt beat saban in 2001 not sure if he can beat him now.
