The biggest problem with firing Dooley mid-season is who would take over as HC???

Chaney - HELL NO!!!...he's the biggest cause of the mess we are in already. IF Dooley stays this year, he MUST go.

Sal - NO way, no HC experience and he's already got his hands full

Jay G - Would probably do a decent job, but I wouldn't want him to be a "casualty of war", would really like to se him stick around even after Dooley. What he has done with Rajon, Marlin, and Devrin this year has been awesome!!!

So who does that leave...Coiner? Hinshaw?
Who do you think would be the best IHC on the staff?

You are so wrong about Chaney, He has done amazing things with Our Offense, we have scored enough points to win every game other than Alabama. So many times he even gives us a chance to win . Chaney is a very, very good Offensive mind, and you will see when he's gone just how good he was!

I don't think Chaney is the biggest problem. Our offense is putting points on the board. It's our D that is giving up big plays game after game.

There won't be a mid season firing. Worst case is Dooley being told he will be let go at end of season.

At this point, no way he can be retained. I am in Charlotte and have been going to games since 85. Not going this year. Heck, when I wouldn't go, I always had the gameday package and never missed a game. Would not watch ESPN for days after a loss.

Now don't really watch unless I happen to be around. I expect the, to lose and would nt surprised if they lose to Vandy or Missouri.

Point is most of my friends feel the same and aren't making the treks for the game. Not that we aren't vol fans, but we expect this team to find a way to lose with Dooley.

Guessing they will be around 20,000+ seats below capacity the rest of the year. Which should give them some kind of inclination of what they need to do.

Run Dools out of town. Let Fulmer or Majors be interim, bring stability and unite the fan base.

Yeah.. 'we' (and I don't include myself in that) ran those 2 out of town on a rail. Why would you think they would take the job TBH? I wouldn't - even though I'm a VFL and graduated UTK..

You have to understand how good Florida's run defense was/is and what they gave us was man/man on the outside . I thought he did just what any OC would do in the situation. You guys will get your wish in 2013 more than likely ,but Chaney is a great Offensive coordinator (340 yds Vs Florida ,19 first downs could have easly been 25 first downs with out the drops)

IF they don't just let Dooley finish out the season, my vote is for Hinshaw. I have no problem with Chaney but, as one of my friends was pointing out to me, he wouldn't want to come down from the box. HC needs to be on the sidelines.

Chaney has done nothing with Tyler bray. His mechanics have not improved. Sloppy footwork. What made coach Cut so go was not because he was a great offensive mind, but because he preached mechanics. Footwork, elbow height, etc. Tyler holds the ball at his waist . Peyton and Eli hold it at there chin. We need a QB coach.

Doug Matthews is dogging Dooley right now for saying he spends 0% with the defense in last nights presser

I swear I saw jumbo Chaney on the sideline. I'm never hiring a Chaney again. I'd let Jim interm then tell him to kick rocks. Doesn't hurt to try. If we get an interm I'd wanna see conklin as our dc.

Hubbs said Your Wrong! Said Chaney stayed on Brays ass hard every practice and Coached bray extremely hard! (you can listen on pod cast)

Least worry we have is an interim coach.

Sorry bro but the Defense hasn't played real good all season. We know this,we see this. Those players deserve a better Defense!

Not that it would save Dooley's job, but he has to announce Sunseri's dismissal on Monday. He won't do it because the soft cream of the schedule is coming up. He figures if the Vols reel off some cupcake wins it will unite the fan base, save jobs and place this team in position to go to a meaningless Bowl. I believe most realistic fans have seen enough to know that Dooley is not the answer to getting this team at the next level. If they go through November undefeated please don't forget the month of October.

If we had same defense as last year scheme wise. We would have only one lose.
