Each day from 8/20 until the Friday before Kickoff (8/29), I'd like to discuss and vote for our favorite plays from each year. Only one can win from each year. On game day, I'll make a new thread combining all the plays VN selected.

Today is 2022. What a year. 52-49. Our first #1 ranking since 1998. Such an unfortunate ending with Hooker's injury. I'll nominate several plays, and you guys help with any I missed. After we come to a consensus, I'll update the OP. The play with the most votes (likes/comments/etc) will win. Make sure to vote!

*I will leave this open for voting until noon tomorrow (8/28)*

Winner TBD

To me JH had the game of 2022... that being said.. I would have to go with McGrath kicking the game winner. I watched that game with my two sons. They had never seen us beat Bama and its something I will always remember. All three of us said the same thing... "Finally!!!"

That Bru catch on the last drive of the Alabama game for me. Wish he never got his ankle broken by that ******** tackle they did to him. He was going to be a really good receiver for us.
That catch was a MAN's play. He knew the DB was going up with him and he latched onto the ball and would not be separated from it. McGrath never would have had a chance to kick the game winner without Bru's catch that set it up.

Although I already said I think it has to be a Bama play, the fumble recovery on the opening kickoff against LSU deserves some honorable mention too
Agreed. I also considered the play vs Kentucky where Doneiko Slaughter blew up the WR and Juwan Mitchell ran it back across midfield.

In a season littered with huge plays, I’m going with Bru‘s catch to put us in FG range. Such a clutch play, with no room for error. Definitely has to be a play from the Alabama game, because I will always remember that game from ‘22 where we beat Saban, something I didn’t think we’d ever do.
