Biggest game you've missed for most stupid reason.

In 1982 I was 15. Me and a buddy got drunk on 151 listening to the Alabama game on the radio. At halftime, we decided to take a 'victory lap' in my dads VW Beetle (we were sure we would win)...

I flipped it on Goshen valley Road in near Kingsport...we ran from the scene...two hours later, when they finally got the cuffs on us, the first thing we asked was if we had won. Had we finally beaten Alabama?

We had.

Go Vols.

p.s. That was the easiest 20 hours of community service I ever served.

My cousins (die-hard Vol fan) wedding is Saturday at 4:30 CST. Hoping the ceremony falls during halftime...

'05 LSU due to Katrina. Had plane tix, game tix, hotels booked in both Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

91 Season. . .I was in the woods* and my mom had to send me clippings from the newspaper. Note, I had been married for over 5 years and it was my mother that kept me informed on things important to me, the then soon-to-be-ex wife didn't get it.

I missed the Miami game in, what was it?, 2003. I was at a church retreat over the weekend and looking back I regret missing this one because I don't even believe in jeebus anymore.

I had tickets in the student section for the 98 Florida game, but chose to go to work at Sonic, since I was scheduled..

your man card should be revoked. I have never missed a game in 37 years, well 32 I started watching at 5, that includes my mother-in-laws funeral

Missed the ’02 Bama game because my ex-boyfriend wanted to go to the ballet. Yep, you read that right…. To this day I still hate ballet. Not a big fan of my ex-boyfriend either...

I missed the '98 Arkansas game because of a wedding. The groom and all his family were Arkansas fans. During the reception we were all huddled around a radio listening to John Ward.

This was almost a big game, for all the wrong reasons:

I missed the '99 Memphis game to go to Pickwick Lake with my family. Vols had just lost a heartbreaker to the Gators and I assumed they'd take their revenge out on the Tigers (for some reason I remember it was the first time they'd worn orange pants at home in years). I can't remember who caught the ball, but I remember Tee completed a loooooong pass to keep a late drive alive for the go-ahead score. Vols won 17-16.

I was on the floor in the fetal position listening to the end of that game at the lake house. Haven't missed one (live or on TV) since.

Sounds like a lot of dumbass reasons,I award none of you any points and may General Neyland have mercy on your souls.

'05 LSU. Just finished building our new house and moved in that week. Watched the first half whipping LSU put on us. Got pissed. Turned tv off and went outside to put up the mailbox! Just after I finished, while I was admiring a job well done, my brother-in-law calls and screams "WHAT ABOUT THAT COMEBACK!" Pissed doesn't begin to describe my feelings that evening.

Not a die-hard or already whipped. There are no other options. Also, if he's a die-hard, he'll understand why you can't come.
