Do yall think if we beat Florida this year it would be a bigger upset than when we beat Miami in '03?

Yes because we likely won't be ranked in top 25 even with a 2-0 start and Florida has nearly all of their players back from a National Championship season.

Without a doubt. If memory serves me, we were still ranked around 10th going into that Miami game.

Absolutely no question about it. Florida is already favored months before the season like 30+ points. And considering the talk/press/hype, playing at the Swamp, a new coach, a shaky QB situation, and oh yea...Florida is poised to win 2 national championships in a row which would make 3 for one of the greatest players (arguably) to ever play the game of college football...so yea I think it would be a bigger upset.

Going into the Miami game I was certain UT was in for a whoopin. Glad things went in a different direction.

I heard this on sportstalk today so I thought I would ask.

Would you rather Tennessee go to a bowl game or beat Florida?

I would rather go to a bowl game myself.

it would tear a whole through the space-time continuum (sp?) and dimensions would merge and BB ride a T-Rex to the endzone while Tebow is being crapped on by a brontosaurus. thats what an upset of UF this year would do to the universe...

If through some miracle Tennessee manages to beat Florida, it would be a tremendous upset with huge ramifications.

The team that beat Miami was an SEC champion. The team that is going into Gainesville will be a year removed from being 5-7 and an SEC doormat.

Yes, it would easily be a bigger upset.

would it be the biggest upset UT has ever pulled off, at least in the Modern era? What about 1982 Bama?

id trade a 70 point beat down from UF (which is whats expected) for an 8-4 record and a respectable bowl bid.

Beating Florida would be the bigger upset. As far as the beat Florida and no bowl question it depends on what bowl wer'e talking about. I would gladly take a loss to UF and still go to the Sugar Bowl.
