With Carr leaving Michigan the talk has now become who takes his place and then you get the chain reaction of replacing coaches at big time programs. Here is a list of schools that WILL be or most likely looking for a new coach.

Michigan
Nebraska
Tennessee (?)
LSU (If Miles heads North to UM)
Arkansas
Louisville (Already talk that Kraigthorp might be out)
Purdue (local mumerings of a change)
Stanford (If Harbaugh leaves for UM)

I'm sure I forgot some too

Texas A&M.........supposedly will want Tommy Tubberville, which would open up Auburn.

possibly have 3 SEC W (the three teams that have won that divison the past 3 seasons) open at the same time.

Aub and LSU will probably have little trouble finding who they want, unless directly competing with each other.....the odd man out is Ark. they will have to compete with both of those schools and Nebraska.

the other schools on your list.......not sure any of them make a change.

aTm rumor mill has mentioned Spurrier more often lately than Tuberville. Im not sure which direction this is leading but it has been suggested that if we lose to the sips this week, and Spurrier is the new guy, the announcment will be made rather quickly. That is obviously a huge IF but where the Tubberville talk has quieted, the Spurrier talk has gotten louder.

Spurrier's name is ALWAYS hot in the rumor mill. I could almost see it happening however.

If Spurrier leaves SC, it will either be for LSU or the golf course.

what is your logic behind the visor comeing to college station Rocky Top? I personally would love it, but as I said a few weeks ago, I think it's a pipe dream at best.

holy crap people.

spurrier going to A&M has about as much chance of me getting paid to post on this site. why on earth would he leave mediocre program (a, just to go to mediocre program b)?

it makes no sense. he doesn't need the money, he's 60 something years old. he's always said that coming back to the SEC is where he'd come back to college coaching.

his next stop after SC is on some luxury golf course property in FL.

I agree with you but aTm is a better job than USCe.

the only thing a&m has on SC is that it's not in the SEC E. which means he gets to trade getting beat by GA, FL and TN to just getting beat by OK and TX every year. so he improves by one game.....maybe.

other than that, there's no discernable advantage for college station over Columbia.

and if you think it's hard to recruit at SC.......well go to there and recruit against TX, OK, LSU, etc.......

I saw where a local reporter in Ann Arbor has proof that Miles bought a house there two weeks ago. It was on MSN this morning. Of course, LM denies it.
