Dang...I didn't realize the AD was lining up at any of our doors either, but we all have opinions.
7-2 in the B10 isnt exactly rocket science.....They got owned by OSU and NW. Minn. only won one game last year....this year is a good turn around no doubt, but I would want to see more than just 1 good year. And how exactly is he measured as "one of the best" recruiters in the nation? Did I miss Minnesotas 07-08 classes being rated highly?

Look at what he did at Texas when he was there.
He is a damn good recruiter.
Brewster had the #17 recruiting class in the nation last year. Better than VT, Oregon, Auburn, Arizona State, South Carolina, Missouri, Cal, Boston College, UNC (butch davis), and Tennessee. He got 7 4 stars. The team he took over went 1-11 and honestly, who wants to go to Minnesota to play fb? He convinced players to come from Ca, Penn, NY, MS, TX, KS, FL, IL, GA, & KY. I don't think we should get him cause it is probably too risky, but jeeze give the guy props. Thats impressive. I'd say hes easily top 15 recruiters...
I don't get it. The guy took over a .500 gopher team (that the year before that won 8 games) and went 1-11 (the only win was over Miami (OH) in triple overtime). This season, they have lost to every team that is worth a crap (Ohio State, and ... uh... that's it. However, they also lost to Northwestern). Fulmer and Brewster actually have one scary detail in common, they both only beat Northern Illinois by 4 points. But, on the bright side, Brewster did manage to put up 31 points to NI's 27. I don't understand the talk about him turning around the Gophers. Take a look at the schedule they play this season: Link.
IMO this hire would be a utter disaster, and would do what everyone fears, start the carousel turning.
The team he took over that went 1-11 in his first year went 6-6 the year before with a loss to Texas T. in overtime in a bowl game, and lost to Penn St. by a point in OT (the same Penn St. team that beat us that year). The team he took over went 1-11.
Look at what they lost, then you'll understand. Its ok though - I don't expect everyone to understand.
