This. Before Dooley the team had bad years but always was able to win a game they weren't suppose too. This team with talent and 2 weeks couldn't beat MSU. I'm actually worried about vandy now, I hate them just to make it clear not a troll.

You serious, Clark? Not even close. Maybe after Kentucky last season. Not today. The reason they are money guys and in authority means they think further ahead and are more pragmatic than the average VN poster.

I can spout off some BS an inside source and make some crazy claims of stuff I know nothing about. Just because I put "BIG SOURCE" in the title does not make it accurate. I could tell you Dooley will be fired on October 28th and Randy Sanders will be named head coach at 2.35 million per year. See how that works?? :pepper:

This poster has been more reliable than anyother poster on Volnation or VQ. He also said that Gruden would be STRONGLY interested, but would require 5 Million.

Best to ignore your sources. Anytime you get "inside" information, one of three things is in play:

- the source really doesn't know anything, they're just speculating based on a random spectrum of small data points and hearsay
- the source is using you to see how you react and knows you will share it with others and wants to see how they react as well
- the source is deliberately lieing to you to throw you off the real trail

Remember, the only source that matters is the decision maker. And unless you have a personal relationship with Hart, your sources aren't credible. And even if you do, Hart's smart enough to not trust telling anyone that spends time on message boards anything.

I think the guy is a fine recruiter and the talent he brings in is impressive despite the end of year recruiting ranks we receive. I question his ability to actually coach that talent and lead this team.

I agree Smart would not be an ideal choice with where we are today, but to say he is no better than Dooley is just a guess. Smart could come in here and win 10 games next year. Who knows, he has never been a HC. I would take Kirby over Dooley right now though. The CHANCE at being a winner is better than sticking with a loser IMO.

Also, I'm with everybody else. This quote shed no light on anything... It was just some dude saying he wanted Dooley to succeed, but he has a different method, and it takes time. The fanbase is impatient, and after what we've been through, who can blame us? The last reasonably respectable season we had was half a decade ago.
