Sounds crazy, and i'm sure people have contemplated it before but seriously... think about it...

Back in the day, Phil could show up at the high school of an O Lineman and other coaches would just leave. They knew they couldnt compete with Phil when it came to securing the services of an Big O-lineman. We may not like the way he took the program in the end, but i for one would love to see Dooley take a trip to Phil's house and sit down and have a serious talk about teaming up and doing this thing together. He'd have to swallow his pride a little, but i dont think there are many people out there that can coach up and recruit an O-line like Phil did. hell, why not..

I'd take Phil as an assistant, but he'd never do it. It's dumb to even suggest that he would consider it.

Good grief.

Some of you need to move on. Bunch of past living fools.

You're one of the real fools... a close-minded fool. It's true... the man has put more Offensive Lineman in the NFL than any other coach. Look at NFL rosters right now, and tell me how many OL are former Vols..

If you were a highly touted Lineman and Phil Fulmer came knocking on your door, you would listen... especially if you are serious about getting coached up to be playing on sundays in the future

My god....you're like the biggest Fulmer homer ever! Phil is way past his prime...he passed it in the early 2,000's when he was getting killed by Saban, Miles, Meyer and Richt.....he was recruiting the likes of Sean Young and Will Offenhusel(SP?) ...they were garbage!!!

He's not coming back to quit your crying!

Phil wouldn't come back here just to be an assistant. Former head coaches rarely, if ever, go back to a school they were fired from just to be an assistant.
