No just because Edwards didnt sign yet. any recruits are fair game until they sign thats how we got nuke and teague

maybe Tressel is just a classy guy and handles things in a positive way. He mght be more upset if he was thinking about going to Michigan or Penn State. Jus food for thought

Right, because Edwards committed some time before NSD. Getting him out of Glenville was a great move, and I'm glad he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

And the Tressel thing doesn't surprise me one bit. He comes to my fraternity's annual philanthropy every year since he's a former brother. He's a class act and real nice guy.

Even if Edwards was the #1 DB recruit, I don't think that Tressel would've acted differently. He doesn't strike me as someone who would be angry over an 18 year old deciding to play football somewhere else.

One reason for doing it, though, is that other Glenville players will hear about it and want to play for a coach like that.

And I'm sure there are other coaches that do the same. Not everyone's an Urban Meyer, fortunately.

Kiffin got in trouble for talking to him after NSD.

Tressel probably talked to Edwards after his decision, but before NSD.

This is awesome. I have watched videos of Mike Edwards and he looks pretty impressive. Sounds like an even better kid. Great work!

Mike told me that Coach Tressel called him after he made his decision to come to UT and informed him that he made a great choice in attending a school with a top notch program and great football history. He said Tressel was a class act throughout the whole process, which apparently could not be said for all of his experiences.

isn't that a secondary violation?

I am not 100% sure, but I don't think so. The reason I say this, I recently read an article, not sure where I saw it, that said, even though UT reported Kiffin for contacting Alshon Jeffrey after he signed his LOI to the NCAA as a secondary violation, it ended up not being a recruiting violation after all.

Tressel is a really good coach. I know the Big Ten is garbage but I admire his intelligence and will to win. I hope mike turns out to be good, he is really fast!

You know how the boys roll up in Cleveland lol. Really, though, a lot of kids coming out of Glenville these days do not have their head on straight. Good to see Mike does. Another great defensive back prospect coming out of Glenville this year is latwan anderson. Chances at him are pretty slim though.

What was said about Tressel does not surprise me a bit. I have heard he is an excellent guy and just a class act.

Anderson doesn't go to Glenville does he? I thought the only DB prospect coming out of there was Christian Bryant?
