Big Difference in demeanor

Players post game (each game this year) are not blaming coaches or feeling sorry for themselves. They are taking responsibility, explaining what they did wrong, and in many instances endorsing the staff. No matter the result this year we need to keep building.

What are we building towards? Last year we lost by 26, this year we lost by 31. Isn't that going the wrong direction?

The only thing we are good at is excuses. We struggle to get lined up correctly, and make so many unforced errors/penalties. Pretty hard to say that this is a well coached team.

News at 11: players don’t say bad things to the media about their coaches because they don’t want to be punished

People in this forum are fanatics. Their desire to win is so insane that that they can’t see past their nose. We live in an instant satisfaction society. And if people don’t get their heads out of their butts and realize it doesn’t work that way (not for a program as far gone as we are) then they’ll get Pruitt fired and be pissed when it doesn’t work out.
I was in your shoes at one point so I can understand what you're saying. But, man...

This has gone on for too long. We aren't looking for "instant gratification" - we're looking for a football team that doesn't tear itself apart at the seams. We are past the point of embarrassment. The demeanor of the players is reserved and analytical BECAUSE THEY HAVE GOTTEN USED TO LOSING.

I can't believe the annual budget exceeds 100 million to produce this product? Why are we being charged full price for this level of competitiveness? How can you charge what they charge for tickets, with a straight face, year after year.

My concern is that the behavior you point out is apathy. It’s easy to spout the party slogans when you’ve checked out...it’s the path of least resistance. Maybe another player’s only meeting will right the ship...who knows. I don’t sense that we are progressing as a team or as a program either in isolation or compared to our SEC rivals. The direction we seem to be heading is more alarming than where we are at.

I just watched UT get taken apart by FL (once again), during the second half of the game, I saw quitters. Even the announcer noticed that UT was just looking to get on the bus... When a team comes from behind to win, especially if they are down by two or three scores, you have a Winning attitude (and usually a winning team), when you quit playing because things aren't going your way, you are not SEC quality, players or coaches. We've lost 3, because there is a lot of Quit in our team.

The players accepting responsibility for how badly they suck isn’t impressive or improvement. It’s pathetic. Everyone involved with this program right now should be embarrassed and ashamed. Pruitt and his team have now lost 7 of 16 games by more than 25 points. That isn’t just losing. That’s not even getting off the damn bus.

Stupid penalties and turnovers plus the fact that JG couldn't do anything. Need to stick with Mauer and Shrout now if you ask me. The eye test showed me that Mauer certainly isn't any worse than JG and as a freshman has a much better chance to improve and rally the offense than JG does. JG looks lost out there, I am done with him. GBO!

This post, while short, sums it up. We have two QBs sitting on the bench, both show more promise, than JG, in fact, at least as good a Game Day performance (when we see them). CP's stuck on JG, no matter what, has gotten us where we are. I'd say start JG against both BAMA and GA, after that give the future starters a chance to pull out something from this season.

Lol, any coach can say the right things and make it look like they are good. Our team is not prepared to win games....not just sec games, no games against d1 talent.
